Tamesaint Posted 20 December, 2008 Share Posted 20 December, 2008 I ask because it was the Bristol Rovers game last season that led the Board to realise that Dodd and Gorman couldn't hack it and they had to go. In my opinion , today was probably worse - perhaps Jan ought to be put out of his misery the same way.
Legod Third Coming Posted 20 December, 2008 Share Posted 20 December, 2008 No - Bristol was worse. For 38 mins today we were ok - not great, barely good but ok. For the rest of the game we were inept. At Bristol we were shameful.
saint lard Posted 20 December, 2008 Share Posted 20 December, 2008 (edited) Wotte and Hockaday/Gorre = Dodd and Gorman, and they will be our new cheap option, sorry, dream team. All IMO. We were truly appalling against Bristol,a close call but the Bristol debacle takes the prize. Plenty of games left this season to snatch the coverted award though. rocknrollman no2 Posted 20 December, 2008 Share Posted 20 December, 2008 I went to the Bristol game and we were the worst i think ive ever seen. But today comes a very close second.

Whitey Grandad Posted 20 December, 2008 Share Posted 20 December, 2008 It's difficult to compare them because of the different circumstances and conditions, particularly the dreadful playing surface at Bristol, but I think today was worse because we were at home and so many extra possible regular supporters were there, desperate to be impressed, and they completely blew it. Whitey Grandad Posted 20 December, 2008 Share Posted 20 December, 2008 Nah - Bristol was embarassing and today was just really, really poor. I used the word 'embarassed' this afternoon. They were both depressingly poor performances, though to be fair Bristol Rovers turned over a couple of other good teams last year apart from us. To be fair, we probably should credit Forest with a good game plan today. Altho that does not underestimate how shockingly bad we were...

Altho that does not underestimate how shockingly bad we were... To be honest I thought that Forest taught us how to play with what looked to me like a team full of enthusiastic youngsters. At the very least, they all seemed to know what their gameplan was and what each of their roles was.
St Marco Posted 20 December, 2008 Share Posted 20 December, 2008 Was at both games and would say they both were the same. None of the players gave a ****, managers didnt have a clue, played an awful team and got clearly beat. As much as i want to defend the team today they dont deserve it. They are equally as bad and the manager is worse imo.

Papa Shango Posted 21 December, 2008 Share Posted 21 December, 2008 I've seen so many awful games this year that I've just come to expect it now. Watford at home, Plymouth home, Bristol Rovers, Hull away last season. Rotherham, Swansea, Palace, Burnley and Forest this season, it's hard to say which one was the worst. BGF Posted 21 December, 2008 Share Posted 21 December, 2008 I went to the Rovers game and Ill never forget the look on Surmans and BWP faces when they came towards us and we booed them off the park, Id never seen such an awful match in 30+ years of following SFC. offix Posted 21 December, 2008 Share Posted 21 December, 2008 Which was the worse performance - today or against Bristol Rovers last season?? That's like asking "which is worse - being accidentally killed or being murdered." Dead is dead, it makes no difference to the victim.
