Um Bongo Posted 2 January, 2009 Share Posted 2 January, 2009 How can Saga not have recieved International Clearence? His last game for his club was V Man Utd in the middle of December. ****ing crazy. And LOL at his quote about the strikers 'We need someone who can get us to 2-0 and beyond, although the boys in our team are not far off that' Well it would help if they could score ONE first Jan. Mr X Posted 2 January, 2009 Share Posted 2 January, 2009 unless I misunderstood Jan? http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/?page_id=11166 enough is enough Jan you are a nice guy but you are completely farking clueless, all your after match interviews make no sense, in fact everything you say makes no sense Enough with the, we played nice pretty passing stuff and did everything right but failed to win the game, or indeed score a goal in most cases. Your Excuse book has run out Time to go I'm afraid
Chez Posted 2 January, 2009 Share Posted 2 January, 2009 At least JP is looking for a ballwinner. Exactly what we need if Killer is noever going to be fit. I wonder if there are any other Chelsea players available. Franco di Santo has been mentioned. "Saganowski COULD be coming back..." I think that tells you everything. The club is doing everything it possibly can to offload him.
BotleySaint Posted 2 January, 2009 Share Posted 2 January, 2009 I don't think there is anything wrong with that article. Clearly we are looking for a decent replacement for Cork, it was out of our hands. Plus he is looking for a goalscorer. The problem will be, we don't have the money to get them most likely. At least he knows what we need (though no mention of a right back:P) But if we get a decent defender who is as good as Cork in- we'll have a stronger squad than we had a week ago with the addition of Saganowski up front replacing the ****e Pekhart and Robertson. I am certain Saga is better than those two put together!

Wiltshire Saint Posted 2 January, 2009 Share Posted 2 January, 2009 unless I misunderstood Jan? http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/?page_id=11166 Yes, you have misunderstood. Jan has said that we need someone who is capable of winning every header and who is mentally and physcially strong LIKE John Terry. He didn't say we are going to try and sign JT. It seems strange that some people have criticised Jan for his use of English, but he has made a simple statement that is clear and easy to understand, and you have misunderstood it either wilfully or through sheer stupidity. If we wanted someone who was fast, like Linford Christie, it doesn't mean we want to sign Linford Christie. If we wanted someone who was strong, like Geoff Capes, it doesn't mean we want to sign Geoff Capes. There are reasons to moan about the club....this isn't one of them....this is just people getting on the back of Jan for no reason at all. Keep the complaints and moans sensible and you may be taken more seriously.
NickG Posted 2 January, 2009 Author Share Posted 2 January, 2009 it was tongue in cheek -remember I am officially a happy clapper apparently, and will sit back watching the club die!

Keep the complaints and moans sensible and you may be taken more seriously. The main problem with Saints is that we are fire fighting. I thas been obvious to the fans for a while that Cork is a decent player - probably the best defender we had! So why would you wait until the middle of December to try an extend the loan??!! It should have been sorted long before Watford changed there manager. This football club is a farce with a limited vision and management plan. And as Chairman and Manager the responsibility has to stop with Lowe and Jan.
dubai_phil Posted 2 January, 2009 Share Posted 2 January, 2009 Jack Cork is an excellent footballer. Better in midfield as he isn't quite "commanding" enough in defence We have a zillion midfielders If it wasn't on the OS I'd almost think somebody had a plan, but it was so it's probably spin Unless, just maybe, possibly, they found a bricksh*thouse CB who's 6ft 5in, does 100m in 11 seconds, leaps like a salmon and has a footballing brain Oh yeah he did = John Terry lol at the irony in your OP Nick

AndyNorthernSaints Posted 2 January, 2009 Share Posted 2 January, 2009 Jan said we have alot of wingers so Dyer could go on loan? The other week Jan said we were short of wingers and had to play strikers out of position on the wing? What right sided wingers have we got? Thomson not really ready yet. Smith left footed and not very good.

The other week Jan said we were short of wingers and had to play strikers out of position on the wing? And it wasn't that long ago that Lowe was talking him up and saying how he would fit in with this fast, attacking style of play and Poortvliet was telling us what a great asset he was. It just doesn't seem like much of a strategy to me, almost making it up as we go along.

eelpie Posted 3 January, 2009 Share Posted 3 January, 2009 And it wasn't that long ago that Lowe was talking him up and saying how he would fit in with this fast, attacking style of play and Poortvliet was telling us what a great asset he was. It just doesn't seem like much of a strategy to me, almost making it up as we go along. Jan says on the OS: ' "We have to be sure that anyone that we bring in is directly better and will fit straight into our team," he added. Today it was also announced that winger Nathan Dyer has temporarily departed the club to join Swansea City on loan and Poortvliet clarified his situation. "We were open to Nathan coming back and for him to play but at the moment we have a lot of wingers at the club," he said.' So what is it Jan? Is Dyer not good enough, really? He has more talent in his big toe than all of the others together (apart from the injured Holmes) and especially Smith. You said Dyer has a part to play too. It's time you spoke sense and stopped contradicting yourself. You are throwing your credibility away.
