They did this on The Game podcast and showed really how hopeless it now seems to break into the top 6. If you could assemble the best possible team of the other 14 club’s squads then who would it be?

With no conviction and unbalanced:

Butland

Bertrand

Lascelles

Ake

RB?

Mahrez

Gross

Iheanacho

Arnautovic

Zaha

Vardy

Can’t think of RB off top of head.

Don't we have the Portuguese first choice right back who won the European championship and has been persistently linked with Barcelona on the books?

You have seen the state of the season just gone, haven’t you?

Shouts to shelvey, cork, tarkowski, pope, josh king, Lewis cook, McCarthy , maguire

Coleman is the only RB that jumps out at me

You sure about Maguire? The forum experts told us Stephens was streets ahead of him.

Iheanacho has barely played this season, scored a screamer the other day mind.

Milivojivic at Palace is decent, also Sigurdsson has to be worth a shout when he's not being managed by Allardyce. Walcott? Mawson is a good player in a pants team. Shaqiri as well.

Really depressing bit is I'm not sure if a side of the best of 7th-20th would actually make the top 6. Maybe, you'd hope so competing with Arsenal, but it wouldn't be easy. Shows just how difficult it is for any club to break in.

That team I put together would cost about £350m+.

Saints & Leicester were top 6 as recently as 2016. ;)
