My two daughters enjoyed seeing what he gave them this morning. No religious element what so ever included in our annual give presents, eat nice food and see friends and relatives festival. All the best bits included! No ducks, toasters or blood sacrifices required to have good winter festival.

I know a muslim family who put up a Christmas tree and exchange presents. They just enjoy the buildup and the day without bothering about religion.

It doesn’t because celebrating it is not a biblical command. However it’s something Christian counties like our own have adopted. It’s wonderful to see your Muslim friends are integrating so well. 
 

as for your point about overspending on your credit card the bible warns about greed, materialism and love of money. Perhaps you should revisit those verses.

Sadly I left it a bit late in sending cards this year, and Sainsburys had completely run out of “happy winter festival”. I had to make do with merry Christmas instead, I feel so foolish.

Saturnalia and Christmas aren't one day things. They are week long plus things. Saturnalia was absorbed into the later festival.

In 2025 it is convenient to have winter festival at same time as Christmas... because that is when a huge % of the country aren't at work or school and you can easily have a family party.

No religious element is required to give presents, see friends and family and have a party.

Our winter festival crackers were of a high standard today. We didn’t have any winter festival pudding though. Winter festival presents were all on point. And the winter festival tree still looks resplendent.

Is that the festival where Romans used to worship the GOD 'Saturn'?  Sounds about as religious as it can get, but you carry on convincing yourself it isn't.
