Gathercole has looked decent in the snippets I have seen.

Reminds me a bit of Dom Ballard in so far as he has decent skills in the penalty area and knows where the goal is.

He is not ready for first team football yet but has potential.

However another one off our production line of 5'6" forward players unfortunately.

Liverpool always have a smattering of 16/17/18 year olds on their bench for cup games, so don't see any reason we shouldn't put one of our 'starlets' on the bench too. Sometimes I feel we're too protective of said youngsters.
