Everton ticket

Bought an Everton ticket, now can`t make it and am wanting to transfer it to a Saints member mate and am told by the ticket office no can do, it`s collect at Goodison with photo ID only.

Any thoughts on this? Could he just wing it maybe with my driving license?.

I think you are stuffed to be honest. I suppose you could try Everton ticket office themsleves?

Last game at Everton, with specific measure in place to prevent touting and ticket transfers. Will be tough for him to use it.

Are you definitely in the 1000 who have to collect at Goodison? Roughly a 2 in 3 chance of not being!

In the e mail confirmation it tells you if you in the collection lot and need yo collect at Everton. Mine does!

With the high profile surrounding this game, we will be forcing the final 500 tickets sold, as well as a random 500 tickets, to be collected from Goodison Park with photographic ID. Supporters selected for collection, will receive details around the process via email, by Friday 2nd May. As a reminder, away tickets should not be passed or sold on and should be used only by the named assigned to the ticket at the time of purchase. The club reserves the right to withhold any tickets that are being collected by someone not matching these details.

The lead booker will be responsible for collecting tickets and will need to present their ID at Goodison Park.

When I spoke to the ticket office on the phone they said emails would go out by end of day on Friday, May 2 and if you don't hear anything from the club then you can work on the basis that your ticket will be arriving via the post and will not require collection at Goodison

Imagine Everton will be desperate for any returns. Thought this would have sold out by now but perhaps these additional measures have put some off.

I was told less than 100 left yesterday so must be virtually sold out now if not already, they won't get any back from us that they could sell to their own fans anyway. 

I was reading Everton fans will be gathering at the stadium early, going to be surreal hanging around Goodison Park at 10am on a Sunday morning but might as well go and look at it whilst there.

Their main stand from 1971 is interesting and very imposing, that third tier tapers in an interesting way. Rumour was that Alan Ball had to be sold to Arsenal to help fund it, breaking up the Holy Trinity.

Surprised by that stage that it had pillars, Chelsea’s East Stand in 1974 had none, but then it did bankrupt them!

Yeah it's got some great character, think my first visit there was late 80s, it hasn't changed that much since then, old away end was better with the small terrace behind the goal , found the highlightsffrom.the game, typical Saints defeat up there

Just received an email from the club saying I have been selected for collection from 9am on the morning at the away ticket office next to our turnstiles.

I'm going up the night before, so picking up the ticket at 0900 means that once the tickets are picked up we can go and have a relaxed beer or two before the game. I think that there will be a few pubs open even on a Sunday morning.

Nothing for me yet so fingers crossed.

Knowing my luck I won't get selected for collection but they'll not get the ticket out in time and I'll have to collect anyway.

Just got my e mail, part of it says

You will need to head to the Bullens Road Ticket Office, located to the side of the away turnstiles, from 9am, to collect your ticket(s).

Should you not bring Photo ID, and/or not be the lead booker for an order, you will not be granted the ability to collect the tickets.

Ticket arrived today!
