AlexLaw76 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Any of you play golf, and if so, to a decent level? Never played myself, but been thinking for ages of getting some clubs and having lessons

Never played myself, but been thinking for ages of getting some clubs and having lessons Yes I do but not so much anymore as my weekends are taken up with kids football these days Mg Advice to you is definitely get some lessons and ignore any advice you get from people you play with unless they are very good players. Learn with irons, don’t use woods until you’ve confident with irons. and don’t obsess about your handicap, that’ll take care of itself. Master putting, chips, and 7 iron shots, don’t worry about the length of your drive that’s ego nonsense, just focus on consistency off the tee it’s a great game and great for social life too but it’s frustrating as hell Edited 2 hours ago by Turkish 2

whelk Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Mental that at this stage only one game has more than one shot in it

Turkish Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago What’s noticeable is the American team are in much better shape the the Europeans. Few Europeans carrying a bit of weight
trousers Posted 1 hour ago Author Posted 1 hour ago Fitzpatrick's in danger of throwing this away (from 5 up FFS)

Never played myself, but been thinking for ages of getting some clubs and having lessons It's certainly never too late to enjoy a new hobby that keeps you fit. Just focus on your own improvements, learn from the best around you and don't get discouraged. It takes ages to get the timing right to get past the windmill blades, and there's loads of variation in maintenance of courses. I was fortunate to grow up near a lot of miniature golf courses along a coast, so have had lots of practice. Just keep at it. 1
