do the fans want us to keep archer on after his performance?

Ross Stewart was a figure of fun for 2yrs and he's now the striker we apparently miss most.

Not the fans job to manage the team but they know when a player isn't ready. Downs may turn a corner yet, but at the moment he needs to rediscover some form elsewhere. U21s, a loan in January maybe. Once the fans see he can score, they'll probably cut him some slack.

Stewart wasn't a figure of fun football wise. His occupation of the medical room was.

I wonder what someone like Brian Clough would do right now with our lot.

Brian Clough built his sides around a strong spine - decent keeper, decent defender to lead the defence, someone in midfield to control the game and a striker who could score.

You can see where this is going....

Footnote: City had 4 shots on target & scored 3 goals. If Bazunu had been between the sticks there would be outrage about this. Since it’s McCarthy… tumbleweed (putting aside the farcical second goal too!).

[Braced for “yeah but it would have been 6-1 with Bazunu in goal” comments]

McCarthy is poor, but he's still better than Bazunu. I'd much rather we signed someone else entirely but it didn't happen.

Are you saying he was at fault for the goals? FFS The 1st goal was right in the corner (sadly I dont think we have a forward who could place the ball so well) the 2nd was going wide hit the player and McCarthy was flat footed and expecting it to go in when it came off the post and went past him (perhaps he could have reacted to that, but still harsh) and the 3rd it was a one on one and they again finished it well.

Reality is that is what it takes to actually get some change. Our fans passive nature doesn't help. Dare say there were more clapping them off yesterday?
Fans need to start acting, stop spending money at the silly fan zone, have a pop at the players/manager/Spors, and stop spending money on the club. Until that happens nothing will change.

So have you 200m to buy thy club? I recall how miserable it was going to games when the fans were turnng on Rupert, the ground was half full and it fed onto the pitch. If you truly believe that havng marches or not spending in the clubs facillties will help I feel for you.

The more we spend the more the club have to reinvest, the fanbase has been buffeted by bad ownership since SR took over, I for one wasnt elated when they took over as I thought Gao Semmens did ok with what we had (due to China restircting money going out) We had a bit of a decent time the promotion season , although that was just ok apart from the playoff games and Wembley that gave us the warm feeling of success.

Just applying exactly the same logic that is applied Bazunu. If he’d have been in goal there would have been hell to pay with exactly the same set of circumstances.

I can’t believe there are still people defending bazunu lol. Absolutely tapped behaviour

There is nothing between them. One gets wall-to-wall abuse, the other silence.
