My Dad hates football but took me and my brother to watch Saints in 1982 because he felt he should do. We won and it was great and I've been SFC ever since. He took us once more when my younger brother was old enough. Even though we lost 4-0 at home to QPR, he still loves Saints too.

Now I have my own son and we've been to a few games together, I realise that Saints represents one of very few constants in my life. I wouldn't ever want that to change. Whatever else happens, the experience of going to watch Saints is something I will always want to do, whoever is going with me and regardless of the result (fortunately).

I'll still get season ticket. But this stick with Saints for 50 years and more. The amount of flak we'll get next season and we won't have a reply. Its not going to a enjoyable season on the football front only until SR get out.

My wife is a Norwich fan so I've been following them for 20 years - if this shambles of a club doesn't sort itself out and do the right thing I'll stop paying to watch my own club and instead invest my time and money in taking her up there. They are, mostly, a well run club. Saints though - they've been my team since I was 8 and it becomes ingrained in you, even though I'm not from the area.

PS. Taking my wife up the Norwich is not a euphemism.

It’s in the DNA now. I watch other clubs. Carlisle & Cambridge, but it is nowhere near the same. It’s just part of you isn’t it. Bloody wish it wasn’t!

Born in Southampton.

I'm 41, have been a Saints fan since I was 8.

Yes it's shit and I'm feeling disillusioned with the ownership and continuous poor decision making.

However Southampton FC is my club, my blood, my DNA, my deceased father supported them.

Together we witnessed the highs and lows over the years.

I couldn't support another team, it's that simple. It's either Southampton FC or I walk away from football completely.......

I'll always end up coming back, but I might be at the point with Sport Republic of just not devoting any of my time, energy or emotion to the club until they're all out the door and we have new owners.

Because they represent my city, my identity and the history of my family. No cunts spying changes that.

I'm 53 - literally today.  Can you remind me of one of those highs please 😂 (I was at the 6-3, 8-0 and the JPT final mind).

I think I might be done with football personally.  I've increasingly been disillusioned since the EPL started, add in the Super League BS (Spurs wanting to be in that is hilarious), the corruption (Infantino's peace prize, Man City getting away with 115 charges, Chelski's slap on the wrist before the Arab money, the chairman of a club involved being on the board of the EFL etc.), and the fact that the club I love and have followed since my mum and dad walked me from Totton to town to watch the FA Cup parade in '76 have shit the bed so spectacularly and been so underhand is just the icing on the cake.

At least I can save some money on my Sky Sports subscription - that's getting cancelled

We need to see some heavy discounts on STs next season or they will struggle getting the same crowd.

Fans have suffered enough through this season and now getting shafted after 4 months of hope takes the biscuit

If you want to support them - fine, good on you.

If they make you feel uncomfortable and you’ve not been enjoying it for a while, take a break for a few years and try other hobbies during the football. No-one can criticise you or if they do, ignore it.

I’ve not enjoyed football for a while now knowing that the Tonda uplift was fake and will be giving the WC a huge swerve too.
