So you think we'll have cars with thrusters flying about anytime soon? A simple yes or no will do. Space Ex shares down 10.35% over the past 5 days btw. Tesla 6.82%. Such is the excitement for rockets btw, Rocketlab has dropped 24% over that period. 1

I simply said the roadster will be delivered, I am sure the thrusters won’t go down well with government agencies. Not sure why you pointed out the share prices of the last few days, is that supposed to be interesting? Zoom out on the chart 😉

Bureaucrats always stand in the way of good ideas, it doesn’t mean they aren’t worth pursuing. I get excited by anything that pushes humanity and technology forward. They aren’t doing worse than the general market, the Nasdaq is dropping, the VIX is up and there seems to be a general liquidity crunch occurring. Which naturally means tech stocks take the hit first. All you are doing is highlighting your trading inexperience

Again, you’re missing the point. It’s not about being a viable product, it’s about pushing the boundaries of what’s possible. If engineers never strive to create new things, then everything stagnates. The point of this demo, like a SpaceX test flight, is to push boundaries. Anyone that has experience of designing complex engineering projects knows how difficult it is to make new things. And how you often learn more from failing than from things working first time. SpaceX have perfected that idea. Edited Friday at 20:51 by Osvaldorama

Space travel is obviously interesting and exciting, and the technological developments have benefits but I would value saving lives and trying to mend the environment over dicking about in spaceships. 2. Anyone else stocking up on essentials and putting together an exit plan or two? I'm not sure whether my Canada plan is the best route to go now 😬 Best way is to tactically vote at scale and spread the word to keep tech-funded autocratic populism out. GOP under Trump, Musk and Vance, Reform UK, Restore and Raise the Colours, National Front, AFD are all part of the same branch of Silicon Fascism. Tech control of populations, their essential services and democracies, asset-stripping blended with extreme and violent racism and rhetoric. Hungarians did it, throwing out Orban, a hero to all of the above, so no excuse for Americans, Brits, Canadians, Australians, NZ (flush your government away Kiwis) 🥝, Germans or French not to follow suit to keep out/throw out. Russia is behind a great deal of it in influence and finance. And it suits China. It’s not a coincidence that former leadership figures for Reform UK are serving prison time for kickbacks from Moscow. The Labour Party had a massive issue on its left in the early 1980s with the Soviets worming their way in but were defeated in the short term by a combination of the right of their party (see Kinnock’s 1985 conference attack on Militant), MI5, and longer-term by Reagan and Thatcher. Burnham doesn’t have that transatlantic ally Maggie had, so what emerges from the Democrats after the mid-terms will be critical in limiting Trump’s active support for Putin and ensuring a Democrat president to box the tech boys in during 2028. What’s encouraging is what a huge issue data centres have become in red states during these mid-term races. As a result, we could see states going blue for the first time since the 1930s added to the impact and tariffs and Trump and Kushner’s war. Edited 13 hours ago by Gloucester Saint
