Saints have slashed ticket prices for this Saturday's crucial home game against Charlton Athletic in a bid to pack out St. Mary's and roar the team to safety...

Tickets will be priced as follows:

Adults £15

Concessions £5

Fans responded in their thousands when a similar deal was offered for the game against Nottingham Forest, but this time the stakes are even higher.

A win against Charlton Athletic would give Mark Wotte's side a fantastic chance of moving out of the bottom three, and give a massive psychological boost to everyone around the city of Southampton.

The Southern Daily Echo has also launched their own 'C'mon You Saints' campaign in today's paper, urging stay-away fans to put any negative thoughts aside and pack out St. Mary's for the final three home games of the season.

Every Saints fan knows that when St. Mary's is full to the brim there's no better place to be on a Saturday afternoon - and this weekend's vital six-pointer is one game you will NOT want to miss.

Saints' Head of Supporter Services, David Luker said: "We've already sold over 17,500 tickets for the Charlton game and I confidently expect a crowd of over 20,000, but we'd naturally be delighted to see a full stadium

"The reduced prices are good prices - £40 for a family of four to watch a Championship game isn't too bad at all.

"I would expect there to be a lot of interest in this game as it's a must win match for us.

"We've got 200,000 people on our database so we know the support is out there. The supporters have all been fantastic at home games recently and the atmosphere at the Preston game after the goals was electric.

"Let's hope for something similar, including the result, this Saturday."

whilst I appreciate the sentiment it really rams home the futility of being a season ticket holder. I do not get reduced prices.

Before the cynics complain about my loyalty to the club let me remind them (as most do not even go to games at SMS or away) that I paid my money up front.

On a seperate topic the debate rages about which is the worst ground - Blackpool or Steau Bucharest. At least Blackpool was dry.

You do get reduced prices for EVERY home game.

Then you should just buy tickets for each individual game instead, it's not as though they're hard to get!

But of course if you did that you would end up paying more over the course of the season, even if you got a ticket for the charlton game for only £15.

Hmmm that is a real dilemma...

Are you basing the futility on the team's home performances having splashed out on a ST or just the cost of it. The former I can understand, the later I don't get as one of the reasons to buy a ST is the reduced price per game.

As I'm not a cynic, good-on-ya for buying a ST up front this season and being loyal to the club :-).

Basically you get 8 games free as a ST holder.

There has been a number of promotions this season that removes two of those `free' games. So ST holders have ended up getting 6 games for free this season.

That still seems decent value but were two games live on TV? Not the same I know but all the same you could say that ST holders got just 4 games for free.

But as all ST holder know there is always illness, weddings, work, crisis, holiday etc that get in the way so you end up missing games that you have paid for.

Buying a ST is getting less appealing with every line I type...

I'm going (i used the excuse that it might be the last chance I get to see the Saints to the wife and kids), but am worried that Charlton might be right up for it, sensing that if we do get 10 deducted in the end this season that they still have a slight chance, or might just be so doomed that it allows them to play with real freedom. i hope we are truly up for it and that Wotte gives a Churchillian performance in the dressing room before the game. Attack, attack, attack!
