In the Mick Channon Suite,7.30pm next thursday.

Other prominant guests also.

All to raise money for SFC.

Phone the club for ticket details.

How much is McMenemy charging for his time or is it just an expenses paid gig?

This club even in administration can't learn that what we need going foward is balance and this will just promote division given even some of MLT's recent comments. Is Benali on the panel?

Going forward are those who were supportive of Lowe or even just ambivalent, going to have to prove their hatred towards him just to get a match ticket in the future?

Ironic the ferevent stay away's promoting a SOS campaign and alienating those who supported the club whilst we still had a chance of remaining in control of our destiny.

I thought Mike was staying away under Lowe... nice to see him back. Wish he still did the commentaries at half time.

no no no no

Mike Osman was probably the worst thing to come out of the Wilde/Crouch era!!

Mike Osman is about as funny as a anaesthetic free hip replacement operation!!

Say what you like about any of the above, I'll be there paying and contributing.

They are all giving there services for free because they care and people will pay to see them and are interested in a no-holds barred Q&A session.

They probably don't waste their time being abusive and derogatory on cyber forums.

Free? Without wage? Without expenses? Without a free expensive dining experience with fine wine? How much of your payment will actually go to the club? Anyone know? Bet it's less than 100%.

The only people who will pay to see a no holds barred Q&A session manned solely by anti-lowes are anti-lowes. So where's the unity of the brave new world? Where is the balance of recent Lowe employees like Benali?

Frightening that many want to wallow in a slagging off Lowe session instead of trying at least to unite a deeply divided fan base that must scare any worthwhile investor sh1tless.

And your verbal diarrhoea is doing that, is it - uniting the fan base?

Strewth

Check out the facts or ask him, but dont asume anything. There is no dinner - tickets are £20 and I'll happily buy his wine for him. I think he would drive to ST Mary's without claiming 20p a mile.

There is not a deeply divided fan-base the overwhelming majority of fans were anti-Lowe. By the way, the whole evening will not be about the recent events, they may spend some time talking about the time when people who were connected to the football club cared passionately about it and reminisce about happier times in an attempt to make people feel better about the SH1T scenario we are in.

It's free of charge though, fact.

NC. Why has Rupert decided not to go to the last two games and last night chose to continue his media circus ('its not my fault but everyone elses' roadshow), rather than attending the match?

How much of his personal money will he be donating to help the club in its hour of need?

Answers to these questions would be interesting for all of us to hear...and why does he not offer to sit on the panel with LM and MLT...I am sure they would be very pleased to have him there, and by doing so for FREE like the others would be helping the club!

My guess is he would rather not be there..what do you think?

To get away from the petty infighting and back to the thread topic.

By 'next thursday' do you mean tomorrow or a week tomorrow?

How many people is it limited to?

And is it tickets in advance or on the door?

My guess is that he was to busy trying to avoid administration and working hard to get unconditional investment that didn't require him to invest personally what we didn't have. In the situation we were in I would have been a bit miffed if he had done the look at me self-promotion act at football matches instead of working behind the scenes. Given the gravity of the situation he and Jones were probably downstairs helping to cash up.

Sit on the panel? There is a logic of 'give a dog a bad name and then hang him' and this is not a discussion panel but a lynch mob so why bother. I personally believe Rupert Lowe did everything he could to save this club over the past 10 months and would question why Crouch wasn't so robust in his approach as soon as he was given the role instead of telling us we we're financially secure, really? Do you believe that? Managing a football club is not always a popularity contest and its more aligned with modern businesses than the football clubs of the 1970's and early 80's but many seem to forget that.

I think your final guess is right he would rather not be there and I don't blame him but whilst everyone celebrates Ha ha the King is dead they take their eye of the ball. This night serves zero purposes other than to massage a few ego's and opporunists. At least it saves any embarrassment and someone asking Leon to sit down or leave when he acts like a petulant little child, definitely one of the few bright spots of the seasons I'm sure you'll agree

Ah! So my take on it as a way of raising valuable funds in our of deperate financial crisis is incorrect then? I am obliged to you for opening my eyes.

I understand that they might be auctioning off the painting of the train donated by Doncaster. Should attract a lot of anoraks, eh, Nineteen.

Quite remarkable that we should both choose the AGM as one of the few bright spots of the season. Mine was the reading out of the anonymous letter that you sent Rupes telling him what a stirling job he was doing. ;)

Umm according to the Echo they are hoping to raise £10,000. That will at least help to pay all the long-suffering backroom staff at SMS who must be worried sick about their jobs! If you think that is worthy of derision then I feel for you.

NC...the last two matches were AFTER the 'holding company' went into admin (where have you been?)...so no excuse not to attend the games...even Guy the gutless turned up!!

The night is only organised to raise money for the football club and is a chance for people to GIVE to help keep the club they love going...something that Rupert has never personally done...Crouch has just put another 50k of his own money in...why shouldnt Rupert do that also?

ike your mentor Lowe you have a very selective memory and avoid the big questions, and it is strange that you keep harping back to the management of our club in the 70's and 80's...are you saying it was so much easier then? And just in case you missed the point of a football club, whether then or now...you are in the business to win football matches and ALL else follows on from that....maybe thats why Leeds, Luton and ourselves never went into admin in those days...because they were actually MANAGED better from top to bottom and WON football matches!! See its simple really isnt it....or are you saying that it is much more difficult to run a football business when it generates more money? If so, that is a strange opinion to hold....or is it just the abject failure of Lowe to MANAGE over his 12 year tenure that has lead to the clubs demise?

Kind regards and see you Thursday?

I doubt it!!

Isn't it amazing that a group of people come together to try and raise money for the club in it's hour of need and there is still some complete idiot out there who wants to moan and criticise.

There were many more idiots boycotting games prior to administration when with a bit of support this mess could have been avoided according to our bankers. Enjoy your soiree and talk about the good old days.

Or 5/6ths of Rudi's weekly wage.

And that would be your solution to our problem starting from now I suppose?

Mind you sending you back in a time machine isn't such a bad idea.

19c. We are where we are. Nothing can change that at this point in time. Whose fault and how we got here can be debated over the years to come. Right here and now the club is on the brink of collapse and needs fund raising events like this to see its way through until the end of the season. Mocking the organisers, attendees (Fans) and the people offering their services FOC and then having ago at the stay away fans, is laughable.

Regardless of how much they raise, they are doing what they can and if that amounts to 5/ 6 of rudi's wages, then so be it.
