alpine_saint Posted 10 April, 2009 Share Posted 10 April, 2009 All his fault. Putting aside the perceived ability / inability to pay player wages this season, he appointed two clueless Dutch d**kheads when we had a great young English manager already at the club. Nineteen Canteen Posted 10 April, 2009 Share Posted 10 April, 2009 agree 100% toss on and off the field. Surely even the likes of nineteen canteen cant defend him this time!!! I think the moral of the story is be careful in asking for what you'd like as you may be forced to like what you get. The result is as irrelevant today as it is focussing your hatred on Lowe. The fact remains the players have lost their heart as a result of administration and our stay away fans are as responsible for that as much as Lowe. Crouch's game plan appeared to be based on hope for investment and so what we are seeing today we would have probably seen at Plymouth on Boxing day. Therefore, in the absence of any other viable candidate Lowe was our last hope and given the blind stupidity of some of our fans we are where we are. We can lose 10-0 or win 4-3 and it will mean nothing until far bigger issues are resolved.

You can't blame him for 2 defensive howlers in the first 5 minutes - that killed any gameplan which was presumably to play one up front and keep it tight at the back. This is still Lowes doing, it is his "vision" of total football with the dutch lot, that lets not forget he wanted a few years ago too. His "vision" of youth players from the academy that he masturbates over every night. Yes, you carry on moaning about LC, who was here for 5 minutes. Lowe, dont forget, was in a very good position, in the the premier league not that long ago, and he messed that up, the same as he has messed this season (and maybe more) up. Nineteen Canteen Posted 10 April, 2009 Share Posted 10 April, 2009 I think the players also have SOME responsibility in this.... they don't even look like they care... Don't care or lost their heart and motivation? Whatever an employee earns when their firm goes bust it is bound to affect their motivation and many of these players will already have agents out there trying to secure their futures at other clubs. It is just another by product of administration that so many appeared to have wanted and why? To rid the club of Lowe? Looks foolish now in the extreme especially as according to Fry the first question investors are asking is 'are the crowd numbers at the Charlton game sustainable?' Shock horror they must have looked at our attendances over the last few seasons and smell the bs. I will never change my opinion that the stay aways failed to grasp the seriousness of their actions and simply compounded the decisions made by Wilde, Crouch and Lowe. Many have got what they want and now realising like spolit children the consequences of those wishes being granted. Apart that it saddens me deeply as it my club too I have very little sympathy for those who championed administration and/or boycotted the club and are now still looking for people to blame without the use of a mirror. The man removed Pearson and and set in motion the absolute ****ing shambles that this season has become. Everything bad with club has his hand in it. Relegation from the Premiership, relegation from this league, the never ending carousel of managers... it all goes back to one man. I'm sorry but the likes of uber intellectual nineteen beast and co and their lemming like defence of Lowe and their placing of any blame on stayaway fans is starting to really annoy me now. Lowe turned fans from fans to customers and customers have every right to withdraw their customer, especially when the man in charge treats them with the upmost contempt.. The buck stops with Lowe. This shambolic season is down to him and him alone. He meddled, he changed the management set up and ulitmately this whole mess is down to him. Everyone else has played a part but the ultimate responsiblity lies with Lowe. Live with it...

Listen mate you are banging the same drum on every post, no matter how many times you say it the majority on here know that that the stay away fans were not doing it as a protest they were doing it because they were not interested in the product. It wasn't a protest it was indifference, so no matter how many times you try and put the blame on the fans every body knows who the architect of our product was and that is where the fault lies. How can you defend him still??? Simple really Mike because we were clearly in the realms of the last chance saloon and the normal approach to managing a club was pretty much suspended. The mistake many made IMO was to judge Lowe as if we were in a healthy situation and critcised him for decisions that in normal times he would not have made but in ridiculously difficult times was actually trying to reverse two years of supreme mismanagement with very little latitude financially. Many kicked their club full square in the ****** and that wasn't Lowe and then others pinned their hopes on empty promises of investment that would never materialise whilst the creditors grew impatient. Lowe chose the path I would have done and that is forget personalities or unfounded promises and focus on positive action in an attempt to influence our own survival. Unfortunately he was never going to overcome the simple blind hatred of others. Pitiful state of affairs really, and if the club can't find a buyer of the type FF has alluded to then perhaps its time to call time. Unity at the moment looks impossible.
