Saint Fan CaM Posted 14 April, 2009 Share Posted 14 April, 2009 As it says in the title, looks like Forests run-in looks a little worse for them now... http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11688_5185236,00.html
slickmick Posted 14 April, 2009 Share Posted 14 April, 2009 Earnshaw was the man I thought would keep them up. Great News.
scott_saints Posted 14 April, 2009 Share Posted 14 April, 2009 Every little helps I s'pose. Looks like Dexter is gonna be their saviour then.....
Pilchards Posted 14 April, 2009 Share Posted 14 April, 2009 IMHO I hope Forest are safe by then as they are playing very well. I fancy Norwich and Barnsley myself to be relegated!
Minsk Posted 14 April, 2009 Share Posted 14 April, 2009 IMHO I hope Forest are safe by then as they are playing very well. I fancy Norwich and Barnsley myself to be relegated! Personally I hope they are relegated by the time we play them. Or if not them then I hope that both Norwich and Barnsley are relegated by the last game of the season. All that would take is for us to win our next two matches and for 2 of those three to not pick up another point between now and the final matches. Did I say, 'all that would take?????' And if not, then I agree it is good news that Earnshaw is out.
stevegrant Posted 14 April, 2009 Share Posted 14 April, 2009 Turner being out is not a good thing, judging by his "performance" against Bristol City on Saturday where he gifted City both of their goals. Happy with Earnshaw being out, though.
SaintDonkey Posted 14 April, 2009 Share Posted 14 April, 2009 Of course with Turner and Earnshaw out it just makes it more likely we'll be hit by the ghosts of Saints past, in the form of Paul Smith and Dexter Blackstock come the last day of the season. saints_is_the_south Posted 14 April, 2009 Share Posted 14 April, 2009 Good news & they'll also have a suspension to contend with too following the straight red card yesterday. They still IMO have the easiest run in & will get out of it. I fancy Barnsley to go then either us or Norwich.

Webby Posted 14 April, 2009 Share Posted 14 April, 2009 The fact that we play them on the last day is a good thing imo. By beating them we are gaining points ourselves and denying them the points. Better then them gaining 3 points elsewhere isn't it? It's the real 6 pointer scenario. If we don't beat them, then we don't deserve to stay up. I think if we can win our next home game, and beat forest, then we'll stay up.* Webby * a win at sheff wed would be nice too!
Arizona Posted 14 April, 2009 Share Posted 14 April, 2009 Will always hate Earnshaw for his goals at WBA in 2005.
eurosaint Posted 14 April, 2009 Share Posted 14 April, 2009 Don't forget that we've lost Anthony Pulis for the season as well ! Kinda evens things up, no ?
Window Cleaner Posted 14 April, 2009 Share Posted 14 April, 2009 (edited) Plus the bloke who got sent off on Monday.Central defender perhaps. Plus one of their central defenders got his 5th yellow on Monday, rules him out of the next game as well. All helps. Window Cleaner Posted 14 April, 2009 Share Posted 14 April, 2009 Blackstock to score at one end and Paul Smith to save them at the other!!!!! I'll blame George Burley for that then.Mind you I usually blame him for everything, tosser that he is.

Has the thing not kicked in yet whereby the 5 bookings mean nothing and you only get suspended when you get to 10.....or is that only in the Premiership now ?
