  1. 2 pages ffs
  2. Yeah, well in your hypothetical world you’ve proven your point.
  3. I’m not comparing why I’d be slightly more happy immediately if we signed Haaland than if we signed Fellows or Spertsyan with you.
  4. Well I’ve seen Haaland play for a start so I’d probably applaud too. Fair play, you’ve won me over.
  5. Then again 🤣
  6. I’m not entirely sure I agree that we should be judging Spors on how well signings fit into the team and when considering that’s Stills job but I am glad you agree that seeing players play first is decent way of judging them.
  7. Nobody is saying you can’t have an opinion you dafty. It’s talk of ‘big two weeks to prove his worth’ as if the end of the window is judgement day that’s stupid. Especially when you caveat that with ‘although admittedly if I haven’t heard of them and they turn out to be good then my judgement is void’ 🤣
  8. You’re going to make judgements on Spors and players in two weeks predominantly based on a maximum of 4 competitive games, some YouTube videos that have been edited badly/well, internet messageboard/twitter opinions and/or whether you’ve heard of them and the people just reminding you that’s a bit rash and there’s a whole season to play out yet are the oddballs. Cool.
  9. Yeah and I’m saying don’t judge him at the end of the window. Judge him when the season has panned out. Slagging him off at the end of the window because you don’t like the names we’ve signed is daft considering you’d have seen them play 4 times at most by then?
  10. You’ve literally concluded Downs and Quashie will both be solid squad players but won’t play every week and stated Spors a couple of weeks to prove your doubts wrong. So yes, you have.
  11. You’ve probably never knowingly seen him play so you have no idea of his quality. They’ve played at most 2 full games and you’ve made wild conclusions about their squad role this season. Don’t judge people in charge of recruitment at the end of August.
  12. Weird because the consensus on here was Martin ruined his career here and forced him out by signing his mate Manning.
  13. Okay, my bad. You don't watch any PL football or any of the sky coverage. Good for you
  14. It literally does appear in those numbers. Again, if you cant be pleased with games like that, you're setting yourself up for a miserable season.
  15. Perhaps. Weird time to make a random out of the blue post about the coverage he's not watched but yeah, perhaps.
  16. I think pretending to not watch something you've clearly watched and have strong thoughts about is a bit weirder
  17. It's okay to admit you watch it and still don't like the people on it.
  18. How do you know about the above then?
  19. I know it's fashionable on here to pretend that you don't enjoy seeing us dominate games, creates lots more chances than the opposition, score more goals than them and pick up more points than them in this league but I really think people should learn to embrace games in which we have 75% possession, 27 shots compared the oppositions 10, score 2 compared to their 1 and pick up 3 points compared to their 0 because that is kind of the whole point? Edit: Enjoy might not be the right word tbh. Maybe "pleased" is a better word because picking holes in that kind of performance just seems to be pre meditated or deliberately focusing on negatives. And yes, I will happily spend a whole couple of years defending a manager who delivers football results and performances.
  20. I know...that is why I wrote it?
  21. Because we didn't take our chances. And yes, fwiw, they had a high XG too and also created chances. Glad I could help.
  22. Didn't really watch the Northampton game but the idea that we surrendered the midfield to Wrexham just isn't true and doesn't really stand up to any kind of scrutiny other than purely numerical. We dominated possession, created the highest XG in the whole of the EFL that weekend and had them penned on the edge of the box for the majority of the 2nd half at least. Not entirely sure how anyone thinks we surrendered it.
  23. See you in the Rangers managers thread, yeah?
  24. Aren’t you the guy who despises XG btw? Fwiw Saints XG was the best in the efl over the weekend so not sure ‘imagine how bad it would have been if chances were converted’ is the best argument for you to make. Wrexhams also reasonably high in comparison to most.
  25. Some very odd takes on here. We were dominant throughout and add some creativity and crisp passes/quality/shots in the final third and it would have been a lot easier.
