Look at my post after that. Was told after that that it was actually more likely Liverpool as City wouldn’t up bid. -
Liverpool agree world-record £75m deal for Virgil van Dijk

Told you. Great deal. Don’t care who it’s to, let’s spemd the cash now. -
This manager is taking us down. No cohesion, no fight, no idea. Pathetic.
-
Wrong thread but am hearing rumblings Virgil is actually going to Liverpool. Le Tiss is even suggesting so. I can’t get any sense from anyone. We’ll see in a week.
-
This team for me. Van Dijk sale has been agreed, so we won’t see him again...... Lose this one and vs Man U and we could well be in the bottom 3 playing Palace at home.....and they have found form. We are in a battle and it’s going to get ugly, frankly if MP isn’t sacked after the next two (assuming we lose) he isn’t going to be, I just hope we spend all of the Virgil transfer fee and we do it early in the window.
-
Deal done. Haven’t been told where too, although have been told not Liverpool.
-
Poor team selection and poor tatics. Austin can’t move. Can’t drive his car. Out for a month at least.
-
Don’t know but there’s a reason he isn’t playing and it’s not that the other CBS are better
-
Van Dijk not playing.
-
All allowed an opinion, I respect yours. So tell me, who else is there?! It’s scrapping the barrel time.
-
Lose this and MP has to go. He has to play his best players and Virgil owes us a couple of godlike performances before he offskis... Personally, I would be doing everything in my power to get Brendan Rodgers. His time at Celtic is coming to an end, it’s a nothing League (no offence) but my mum could win the league up there without a Celtic.
-
Have been told that Virgil was dropped yesterday because he is being a nusence again and desperately wants out in January. We just need to sell him and reinvest. He’s not played how he did last season before the injury.
-
Redmond is useles. Boufal needs to start every game. Well done lads, phenomenal effort. Did my deserve to lose that and that’s credit to all. Should have brought Gabbi on instead of Austin for mobility. Not go and attack Bournemouth and get the 3 points.
-
I meant don’t know who drops out for MY.
-
Have heard 3 at the back and numerous changes. Long, Lemina, Redmond definitely in, Austin and Davis out. Not sure on Romeu/Hojbjerg and who drops out for MY. Pace up top for counter attack. He did it with Alaves and beat Barca.
-
Davis is injured. Don’t know the serverity.
-
Matt Le Tiss is getting a narky and suggesting that fans in general (obviously meaning saints fans) have become spoilt brats, we have over achieved and the manager should be given more time than 12 games. Says too many players out of form to challenge the big boys. He’s joking right?
-
Virgil isn’t going until the end of the season. We need strikers/play makers. Theo would help at this point IF he stays fit. Hell, Walcott and Wilshere would help.
-
Yep, Pellegrino was definitely down the list. A big balls up by the club. I want AVB but doubt that will happen. Koeman back? The Everton job situation shows us that attracting a ‘big’ name Manager isn’t easy at this point in the season or for us now, any point in the season.
-
Was told Tuchel turned us down after fairly in depth talks. Don’t know if it’s true but my source is good so will tell you anyway, have been told Pellegrino has been summoned to a board meeting tomorrow. Have also been told Virgil will not leave until end of the season.
-
Sack Pellegrino and beg Koeman to return.
-
Couldn’t agree more. So frustrating.
-
The manager is under serious pressure. Another woeful substitution, our best striker getting zero service, hooked for a slow, lumbering cart horse, who needs it on a plate. Play Boufal through the middle and play our best striker for 90 minutes. Losing faith.
-
Wouldn’t mind betting the Pelligrino was very low on our list of replacements.
-
Play Hoedt with Yoshida and Virgil next to Romeu. Personally don’t think the manager will start Boufal. He was rather uninterested in his interview after the match and today in his presser he wasn’t exactly praising him.
