  1. From the championship?
  2. Surprised no-one has mentioned Lloyd Kelly, seeing as how it was reported that Bournemouth beat us to his signing. Young, left sided CB. Injuries ruined the start of his Bournemouth career, but he was in the side and doing okay at the end of the season during their mini revival. I doubt we're interested in anyone from the relegated trio. The "cream" (Aarons, Lewis, Sarr, Doucoure, Ake, Cantwell) will go to big clubs, and the rest just aren't good value for money. Ryan Fraser on a free might be worth a punt, but that's about it.
  3. Everton paid £34m for Alex Iwobi. They'd drop £45m+ on an actual first team player easily. Sent from my F3311 using Tapatalk
  4. The season can't run into July as standard contracts run out on June 30th. Anyone in the last year of their contract would immediately leave or join a new club (if they've already signed a pre-contract). It would be chaos on top of the current chaos. I don't see it restarting. The peak for the virus isn't predicted for another 10-14 weeks. If they're shutting down football now, how will they justify bringing it back when conditions are worsening? Unless some maverick scientist who's a loose cannon and doesn't play by the rules heroically discovers a vaccine in the next couple of months, saving the world - and his marriage - like a by-the-numbers Hollywood movie, we're in for the long haul folks. 5. Where the hell are the PFA in all this? Counting their piles of cash rather than looking out for the wellbeing of their members? Sent from my F3311 using Tapatalk
  6. Everton's entire squad and staff have now been isolated too. There's no way games will be played for the foreseeable future. Sent from my F3311 using Tapatalk
  7. Be sure to open with that when you explain to the families of any players or staff who contract the virus why they had to be unnecessarily exposed to it. Sent from my F3311 using Tapatalk
  8. Until the PFA get involved. The Spanish players' union made the case that if playing matches was a risk for supporters, then why are the players being asked to put themselves at the same risk? And now La Liga has shut down. A Juventus player - Rugani - has just tested positive. All his teammates and opponents he's been in contact with in the last fortnight are now at risk. Serie A has shut down. The Olympiacos chairman testing positive has led to the postponement of Arsenal's game yesterday (because they were exposed last week) and Wolves pleading (unsuccessfully - on their conscience be it) with UEFA to postpone their match in Greece today. This is the tip of the iceberg. Once clubs and/or players refuse to play, a shut down is inevitable. It should've happened already. Sent from my F3311 using Tapatalk
  9. To be fair, he was absolutely useless on all three goals. The third didn't matter, but his positioning was woeful - just gave Morata an easy tap in at the near post. Man United have three goalkeepers who would start for any top six side. Liverpool 2nd choice keeper wouldn't start for a top six Championship side. Don't feel sorry for them, though. It was their choice to let Mignolet and Karius go and make do with a clown who can't dive. Sent from my F3311 using Tapatalk

    Home form

Players. Tactics. We can't play with the ball. The opposition let us have it because they know A) we won't do anything with it and B) there's a good chance we'll turn it over in a dangerous area. Our away successes have come against sides who took the game to us, giving us chances to press and steal possession high up. Anyone who has gone direct or played cautiously and asked us to make the running has beaten us easily. We're so one dimensional it's not even funny. How many goals have we scored this season from what could be termed a good, flowing move? We profit from mistakes, ricochets, long balls and hustling. It's crap quality football. But it's the best these cloggers can muster. Sent from my F3311 using Tapatalk
  11. And Celta Vigo were nearly relegated. Boufal's "take ons" were about as useful as a chocolate teapot. Aimlessly ****ing around with the ball is not a quality. Sent from my F3311 using Tapatalk
  12. They're not poor at all - their attacking play is far more incisive and inventive than our cloggers can manage. They played Spurs off the park in midweek. They'll cause us loads of problems. The only thing in our favour is that Norwich like to pass the ball around at the back and through the midfield, so we might get some joy with our press. Which we're going to have to because we can't create a thing any other way. Sent from my F3311 using Tapatalk
  13. Valery... Glad we signed Spurs' fourth choice left back so we wouldn't have to pick that waster... Can't blame the crowd this time for another home defeat. Sent from my F3311 using Tapatalk
  14. We were shocking when it was 11v11 anyway. Stuffed now. Apart from the keeper not a single player is on their game. Second best everywhere, slower, weaker. And Djenepo and Boufal's interventions that half were straight up unprofessional. The manager hasn't got a clue how to get this rabble to play against sides that don't want the ball - seems unlikely he's going to find the answer a man down. Red card and pen both correct decisions. The only complaint is that I think the ref has to look at replays in real speed. Ever foul looks extremely late and premeditated when slowed down - overruling his original decision based on an artificial reimagining of events doesn't sit right. No wingers for the next three games. Good thing we're safe... Sent from my F3311 using Tapatalk
  15. Djenepo in today's training pics. Couldn't see Boufal or Bertrand but they were in yesterday's pics. Looks like a full squad is pretty much available, minus Redmond. Sent from my F3311 using Tapatalk
  16. To be fair, Saint-Maximin does have a touch of the old Adama Traores about him: great ability, dribbling, speed, but hopeless end product. Someone decent will take a punt on him if he becomes available and see if they can't harness all that potential. I'd have him at Saints in a heartbeat. Sent from my F3311 using Tapatalk
  17. Set up for him to redeem himself against us... Sent from my F3311 using Tapatalk
  18. Didn't have to be a football genius or David Moyes to predict all West Ham would have to do to easily beat us was put Haller and Antonio up top and hit them direct. Pace, power, aerial strength - all the qualities we lack defensively. Newcastle will do the same with Saint-Maximan and Joelinton/Carroll. Hasenhuttl has performed miracles keeping this team up - if he does. We've got some shocking players. Sent from my F3311 using Tapatalk
  19. That's an absolute howler from McCarthy. Didn't even look arsed about it. We look like conceding every turn over. Nothing here for us today - too brittle. Sent from my F3311 using Tapatalk
  20. Poor clearance from Prowse, Bednarek slow to react to Bowen's run. A minute after we faced a 3 on 1 counter from our own corner. Sloppy. Sent from my F3311 using Tapatalk

    Che Adams

The kissing disease? I knew we were headed for trouble when players stopped celebrating goals with just a firm handshake and a nod... Sent from my F3311 using Tapatalk
  22. Ramsey didn't go backwards - he was just massively over-promoted. At no stage during his brief flirtation with the first team did he look remotely close to the required level. Slow full backs don't tend to last long in the PL. Sent from my F3311 using Tapatalk

    Che Adams

He looks heavier than he did at the start of the season - got outpaced by Eric Dier a month ago, which was pretty worrying. Because if he's not fast, doesn't get into goalscoring positions and absolutely doesn't score, what have we bought? Sent from my F3311 using Tapatalk
  24. The former. Stones was hyped as a ball playing centre back who will be amazing "when he learns how to defend". Not only has he never learned how to defend, his ball playing ability was massively overrated in the first place and every other side in the league - including us - has at least one centre back who can knock the ball around equally as well. Barkley just doesn't have a brain. No amount of coaching can help that. It takes him five touches before he realises the move was crying out for a one touch pass. And then he'll try and dribble it... Honestly - watch him closely. It's agony trying to implore him to make a quick and decisive decision. Only for him to make the wrong decision anyway, 20 seconds too late. What did Everton make on the pair of them? £80m? Great business. Sent from my F3311 using Tapatalk
  25. I think I read somewhere Celtic had a wage ceiling of £35k. Sent from my F3311 using Tapatalk
