Our captain, Jack Stephens.

From what I've seen, Edwards is both faster and better at passing than Wood is. I'm sensing a level of favouritism in choosing Wood over Edwards.

That line up is so bad 😂

Probably exactly what happened to Leicester City. At least we'd have had some silverware to look back on.

We've got exactly what we've deserved.
-
Absolutely. Should have been 3-0 down after that first half.

Sulemana 😂

Armstrong was clearly offside and knew it. Making any movement towards the ball and giving the PGMOL the opportunity to disallow it was complete stupidity.
-
Well that was confusing. And unnecessarily long.

Brighton will wake up now.

I didn't think this was possible? I will if it is.

We continue to play the same way. We continue to get the same result.

Play KWP in his actual position FFS.

Lasted longer than I thought we would.

I think back to players like Fonte and Romeu that were not only big characters within our squads, but reliable mainstays that were Premier League level. Now we either have experienced players that aren't up to Premier League level, Stephens for example, or Lallana that is up to Premier League level but can never be a mainstay in the team because he can't play more than 60 minutes and is becoming injury prone. I agree, Lallana is probably the most technically gifted player in our squad but personally, I think the money we're paying him could have been better spent. Facilitating him means having a player in and out the starting eleven instead of a settled midfield and it also means a guaranteed and very predictable substitution.

Experience is absolutely vital but signing a 36 year old that can barely play an hour of football was always a bad idea.

Brighton will score early and it will be downhill from there.

I do.

10 years of Sport Republic sounds like purgatory.

For me, the bottom line is that you don't nerf your best player. Once it was clear KWP was staying, he should have been playing in his best position. If that means upsetting Sugawara, so be it. In regards to balance, we have an experienced defensive left back that we signed last summer. Why sign a full-back with 166 PL appearances to not play them? If we're not obligated to play Charlie Taylor, I'd be surprised if we're obligated to play Sugawara. As far as I'm concerned, they're both very average players, but one doesn't require KWP to move to the left. I imagine Taylor's experience would make him less inclined to silly errors as well.

Title gave me a panic attack thinking I had to endure another home game so soon. I checked and it's at the Amex thank god.

As a club with Championship status, we won't get as much as we probably should. Livromento went for about £32m. If there's a bidding war and we play clubs off each other like we did with Lavia, we could see as high as £50m.
-
I think Sugawara is capable of being decent for us but I do think the initial lauding for the guy was over the top. He's very average. I've always thought it was a joke that we moved our best player in KWP to accomodate him.

We might have been but Russell has already inflicted too much damage. We were good enough had we identified the problem early but we're not good enough to get 35/36 points in 26 games.
