Did Ralph ever actually change the shape because it sure didn't look like it? It clearly wasn't working. We created no chances against Arsenal and we created very few today. The few we did have were huge opportunities ruined by absolute howlers from Romeu and Adams. Awful performance. Ralph is great when he gets the initial setup right. If he has to adjust during the 90 minutes... well he won't.

Why the **** is Salisu on the bench?
-
We don't look dangerous when we go forward. Ralph's got the initial shape wrong.
-
I'm not sure that's the right call but I'll trust the manager. Would have liked to have seen the 4-2-2-2 return with Salisu and Lyanco at the back.
-
Perhaps, but I do think Green will undoubtably become a Premier League goalkeeper so I hope we're considering him. Salisu was about the same age when he signed. He had one season in La Liga and one season in the reserves playing in Spain's div 3. I would say he's been our best centre half since he stepped into the team.
-
In his defense, he was a regular until he was put out over a month with an elbow injury mid December. They signed a new goalkeeper on a 6 month loan at the start of January before Green came back from injury. Maybe they thought he would be out for longer and perhaps the new on-loan goalkeeper has been undroppable. I listen to the podcast and remembered his name being brought up on here a few weeks ago. I've seen a couple St Etienne games this season with Green in the team. He seemed very comfortable with the ball at his feet. Livramento had no senior experience at all before joining us but that didn't put the club or Hasenhuttl off. We're after talent before they become expensive.
-
I really hope we're taking a look at Etienne Green. A future star goalkeeper in my opinion and he would fit the bill as a young, up and coming player with a large mark up. I'm pretty sure his name has been mentioned on here before.

That Joe Gelhardt looks a player. I feel Ralph was testing Diallo today by giving him the 90 minutes and moving him into Romeu's role in the second half. He started slowly but I think he did well overall with some decent moments. He's still got a few mistakes in him though.

Got our captain to thank for this one. Broja's form has continued to be poor. For a player that likely won't be here next season, I feel we should be giving more minutes to Adam Armstrong to build his confidence.

This commentary... 🙄

We've lost control since Romeu came off.

USE YOUR LEFT FOOT!

They've definitely been the better team so far. We need to keep the ball better.
-
That's what happens and will continue to happen in cup games when we disperse our kop end and give the seats to away fans.
-
Felt like we were on the beach. Camping on the edge of their box but playing too leisurely to cause problems. Newcastle still fighting for survival and showed more desire. I hope the players are still focused for the FA cup.
-
Not sure this is good for us. We've built up a rapport with Chelsea but this means we have no chance of getting Broja for another year and the next Livramento type signing will have to come from elsewhere. I'm sure we've been looking at a few from their academy/loaned out players.

What a disaster.

The performance of the back two are really letting us down.
-
That was some poor defending.

Looking at the comments, it appears to be over a year old. Still amusing though!

"To anyone who would consider interfering from the outside - if you do, you will face consequences greater than any you have faced in history." Putin alluded to Nuclear retaliation 4 days ago. The finger should only be pointed at Putin for threatening Nuclear war. The Kremlin were inevitably going to attempt to justify their threats by deflecting the blame elsewhere. This was always going to be in their strategy to deter further sanctions and Ukrainian support (lethal and non-lethal aid) from the west.

I reckon this Jesse Marsch joining Leeds was high on our list for Ralph's successor. Very successful at New York Red Bull and Red Bull Salzburg. Another to have worked with Ralf Rangnick at RB Leipzig so of a similar mould. His time there was also cut short by mutual consent just like Ralph.

I was trying to reiterate from memory. Our telecommunications are vulnerable is my point and Russian activity has concerned the MOD. If the chief of defense is concerned they're mapping our submarine cables, the publicly available maps are clearly not sufficient
-
I remember reading last year that the HMS Northumberland, patrolling the UK's submarine cable network, collided with a Russian submarine. Turns out, over the last 20 years, there's been an alarming increase in Russian submarine and underwater activity around our submarine cables bringing strong suspicion they've been mapping our cable network. Modern underwater lines carry thousands of miles of optical fibre cables that carry our digital data, including internet services and also act as our predominant source of telecommunications. We absolutely know Russia has the capability to cut these cables. Cutting just one of these would crash our economy.

A goal like Ward-Prowse's against Wolves is seen perhaps once a generation. A volley outside the box maybe once a season.
