Newcastle can offer enough to off-set the lack of clauses though. I very much doubt Broja will be signing for anyone this window but at the same time, I believe our only chance to sign him is now. By the end of the season, he'll have a number of suitors including West Ham, Newcastle, maybe Everton and of course Chelsea may choose to keep him. From Chelsea's perspective, it makes sense to leave things as they are to allow him to continue gaining value playing for the Saints.

Dele Alli would be interesting. His form has been awful for a while now but a move could revitalise him. His £100,000 p/w salary will likely be a stumbling block though as I imagine Levy will want us to pay it in its entirety.

I think we've just about edged this game but they're very organised and their keeper is quality. Salisu should have scored that header though. I think it was just about a pen. Had Bednarek got a knick ont he ball I think he's be okay but I don't think he touched it. We're still very much in this game but this will be a real test of Ralphs tactical abilities here. Wolves are a difficult side to break down and will fancy themselves now. The positives are we have a strong bench and we've been creating chances. Now that we're chasing the game, it will be interesting to see if we change shape.

I'd expect some rotation after Ralph said Brentford would be "laughing" about us working for 90 minutes with only 10 men.

Another attacking mid in the ilk of S. Armstrong would be lovely.
