It could also be said that the competitiveness that distribution brings is the reason the Premier League as a brand is so appealing. Give them what they think they deserve and everyone else disappears into obscurity and the league is suddenly less interesting. Likewise, a closed group such as the super league will lose it's appeal because sport without competitiveness and risk is not sport.
