  1. Lallana, Schneiderlin ?
  2. FWIW I think their prices are quite reasonable (though on a par with our L1 prices), but their tactics of getting as much cash up front as possible does not auger well for their ability to meet costs later in the season. In fact it's almost as if they want a wad of cash to wave to get their budget fixed by the FL in order to be able to run up debt later in the season...
  3. Worth noting that "Pride of the South" is in red. So could refer to Saints (or Bournemouth). Oh yeah, and if anyone can be bothered to register, there's some thick Skate spreading misinformation on the Luton article comments.
  4. The only people who complain about people wearing Saints shirts are usually fashion victims anyway, so I'm fine with my Saints shirt-wearing to matches choice even though I am now the wrong side of 40. After all, I'm still just about playing anyway...
  5. He's no Francisco "Chiqui" Arce.
  6. Wouldn't that still be cheaper and a lot less hassle than buying every ticket individually (plus ticket taxes)?
  7. I know that more people will look on here thinking you've got one than want one.

    Harry Houdini

I had a laugh with Google earlier : "We had a good meeting, it was nice and positive. There was no doubt that I wanted to stay at the club." Harry Redknapp, May *2005*. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/2359844/Redknapp-set-to-stay-with-Southampton.html Harry Redknapp to stay at QPR : http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2316688/Harry-Redknapp-stay-QPR-Tony-Fernandes-lets-rip-flops.htmlHarry Redknapp on "Staying at Spurs" : http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2102783/Harry-Redknapp-staying-Tottenham-May.html Harry Redknapp stays at Portsmouth : http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_prem/7180147.stm Harry Redknapp to stay at Portsmouth (the first time) : http://www.breakingnews.ie/sport/soccer/redknapp-insists-crisis-meeting-went-very-well-147682.html And then Jobs Harry Redknapp has turned down (according to him) : England : http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/harry-redknapp-snubs-england-blames-1811699 Ukraine : http://www.dailystar.co.uk/posts/view/306249 QPR (2009) : http://qprreport.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=print&thread=7543 Newcastle : http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/2288748/Why-Harry-Redknapp-turned-down-5m-a-year.html Al Ahli (Dubai, UAE) : http://espnfc.com/news/story/_/id/888659/tottenham's-harry-redknapp-turned-down-offer-from-al-ahli?cc=5739 Bournemouth (2012) : http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/harry-redknapp-offered-managers-job-1349541 What a bellend.
  9. Unfortunately he's not named in our 25-man squad and is no longer under 21, so we'd have to apply for a special exemption for him to pay. He is a very special case though. Do you think Spurs would do a swap ? Him and 9 million for Gareth Bale..? Actually, that's ridiculous, just getting 8 million for Gareth Bale would be a much better deal for Spurs in comparison.
  10. As posted in the other thread, on Sky Sports News just now : Rodgers said the original question was a joke but got reported. Rodgers also said "I think that as a football club you have to... I don't think it's something that you can turn down if you get an opportunity to go into European football. The journey that we had this year in Europa League, all the players thoroughly enjoyed it, it was a great exercise for us, we were bitterly disappointed to go out, and if we got the chance to do it again then for sure we will". Also reporting Pochettino's comments via interpreter from the Press Conference today - REITERATED SAINTS WOULDN'T TAKE A PLACE IF OFFERED ! : "No we wouldn't accept it either... spoken with the Chairman... we decided not to take the offer, because we think that what you earn in football needs to be decided ON the pitch. And that's basically our decision, to only accept possibilities when we've earned them already on the pitch" So that's that then.

  12. Brendan Rogers has just said he'd accept a Fair Play place with Liverpool on Sky Sports News...
  13. Bloody hell, I only finished paying for this season's on Tuesday !
  14. We shall see if next season's Premier League is as interesting to people as this year's. Let's hope they leave the Season Ticket news as late as possible/as late as usual so the fans get the chance to assess our transfers and see if the European goal is rhetoric or a genuine target...
  15. New tv deal should cover it, top clubs won't be able to buy him due to FFP regulations and we've still got the wiggle room in our wages. No need to raise ST prices at all with the massive influx of money from the telly deal. So, Messi, done deal.
  16. Everything I've read about kit production mentions about 2 month lead times from finalised design, so assuming we plan on selling kit from, say, the first week of August, then, yeah, there is about another month before we'd have to be confirming production. However, as we're switching manufacturer (apparently to adidas) there's every reason to believe they'd want their presence on all of our branding as early as possible, which would be from the end of this season in a couple of weeks' time. In which case the stuff would most likely have been commissioned at least 6 weeks ago and be ready to ship in a few weeks' time.
  17. Actually, more likely to be Indonesia judging by this article (and no, I'm not expecting a single one of you to care less about Indonesian sweatshop conditions) : http://www.thenation.com/blog/170443/universities-dump-adidas-over-labor-disputes
  18. The kit will almost certainly be sat in a warehouse somewhere in Bangladesh or China ready to ship already.
  19. I thought that at first, but there's clearly a "body shape shadow" and appears to also be a mismatch between the branches within and outside that body shape, so someone has just cut and pasted some other tree into a body-shaped outline. Not sure why some of the other bits are there though, maybe they used a bunch of tree parts overlapped and left some bits poking through ?

    Jordan Turnbull

Yup : http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?44624-Jordan-Turnball-in-England-u19-Squad-for-European-Qualifiers I'd rather the other thread was locked, at least you can spell his name.
  21. Ha, oh yes, I very much did.
  22. That would be Wayne Bridge (again) then.
  23. Nothing to do with "nobody wanting them", there are plenty of L1 and L2 clubs that would love to have them, but no-one is going to pay them as much as we are with the bonuses they presumably have for 2 successive promotions.
  24. Fair enough, can't say I'd noticed. If it was me I'd be trying to hang around there for as long as possible too.
