  1. We played poorly against Midtjylland, twice, including some really bizarre tactical choices (not to mention Wanyama's absence) and we still should have at least gone to extra time against them. Sparta will come for a point, and it'll probably be a low scoring game one goal either way. Just like Midtjylland - who incidentally both managed to get through the group stage to the last 32 (which we haven't yet) and get utterly humped eventually by Man U, who were all of 3 points better than us last season. Some teams are better than their ranking, Be'er Sheva aren't - Celtic are gash compared to Saints and still scored 5 at home against them.
  2. That and the fact the game isn't until the end of November!
  3. You are coming across as VERY out of touch here.
  4. He did. He just said "the new owners won't be any better, they might be worse and they might not know what they're doing, either", in his own way.
  5. As opposed to N'Golo Kante leaving the Premier League champions and Champions League qualifiers to go and get paid more money for a team that was barely in the top 8 and didn't qualify for Europe? And that's a Saints problem? And "more money for the owner" works how, again?
  6. Do you mean Saints or football? Because... Leicester just won the Premier League under 6 months ago and Palace were 10 minutes from winning the FA Cup.
  7. Best thing you've ever posted.
  8. You do if you don't want to waste your money and have the purchase removed from your history.
  9. Presumably because the Purchase History says "collect at St Mary's", as I mentioned before, I doubt they set "Collect in Be'er Sheva" as a default option when setting them up.
  10. I doubt ANYONE was put off booking Prague on the off-chance they didn't get a ticket - unless they've been to Prague loads already... Cheers for the 282 shout.
  11. Which bit of Fonte pulling Giroud's shirt in the box wasn't a penalty then? No argument that the head injury and offside etc should have stopped the game, but the incident itself was absolutely a foul (actually two fouls).
  12. Obviously I don't know what he probably meant. And nor does anyone else - but it's perfectly possible Giroud thought there might have been another foul as well. He might have said "what was the penalty for?" not "who gave the penalty away?". And FWIW I was there and thought it was a penalty live too.
  13. Did they? Given that Sky had already had live football for 3 years and Man U already had 2 Prem titles by then...
  14. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/article/2016-17/uel-tickets-sparta-praha-vs-southampton-24112016-3306226.aspx Wasn't expecting the Danish game to have such a big influence on this season's allocation. Also, this is the ISRAEL GETS YOU A PRAGUE TICKET KLAXON.
  15. Well so far this year we've qualified for the Europa League group stages and finished 6th in the Premier League.
  16. Lol, well we don't have to, we could be really sh01te at transfers and teambuilding like most of the rest of them.
  17. I'd be interested to know how many we got for Saints' (U23) game against Reading U23s yesterday.
  18. Things I am bored of: Internet trolls Entitled people who think their team has the right to win everything People with no sense of perspective People with no patience People slagging off the manager after 4 games People who repeat their one-note argument with endless irrelevant tripe wrapped around it The Champions League (since about 2000, but only until we're in it) Top club media love-in People using Leicester as some kind of template rather than seeing it for the incredible run of luck it was Playing Crystal Palace in cups (though I'm going) The Football League rebranding as if their history isn't their strength Talking about diamonds Things I am not bored of: Going to away games Saints in Europe Logistical planning Kits The Premier League, it is what it is. League Two and its immense pokiness
  19. I suspect he'll want to go as direct as possible from (presumably) North America...
  20. I meant "started at 1 for individuals", as with the Be'er Sheva numbers. It's vaguely possible that we could have been up to 700 by 10am with a "head start" from block booking numbers given that the system seems at best random as hell when it comes to assigning numbers to groups - it can clearly process lots of purchasing sessions concurrently given the gaps in numbers on same group bookings. Suffice to say in the last couple of days from comments on here some of the ticket booking system logic has come into question and I might consider testing it at some point for an exploit I think I may have spotted...
  21. Maybe they all moved to Southampton?
  22. The curse of sh01te relationship. Digital has preserved it nicely.
  23. Whilst that's a decent response in that particular case, I'll reserve praising the club for their disabled-friendly activities when they enable disabled fans to buy tickets online like everyone else AND ambulant fans don't get given garbage seats for every single match at away grounds due to mobility issues, especially when the seats they get are in less convenient places than swathes of other ones. I appreciate that the away ticket allocations aren't exactly in their control, but they are responsible for allocating them where possible (ie not at West Ham) and a bit of ownership of an issue that must happen in every single match wouldn't go amiss.
  24. Bit busy preparing for matches I should think. Just booking match tickets and planning away trips is taking up a significant proportion of my life at the moment, can't imagine how hectic the club must be.
  25. That's as a result of the upward pressure on wages due to the new tv money, it hardly counts as a "new policy", the alternative to that would be having to sell the entire team to bottom half sides, rather than just the ones bigger clubs offer silly money for.
