    NFL

no monday night football on uk tv at present, not enough viewers to justify cost per sky/channel 5
  2. Nick do have proof that the ,as you put it" new away section will be the Itchen Corner because the club are really trying to attract corporate interest in the boxes and no one is going to want a box if you have 3000 away fans stood in front of it
  3. A bit harsh
  4. all of them if the confidence is there

    Wotton

not a popular opinion but i believe we are more likely to get out of this division with a Wotton than a Morgan. with lallana and mellis we need discipline from the others, on tuesday in the second half other than Hammon the others disappeared
  6. Agreed but do not forget we make home fans take a detour rather than lock away fans in after games, like every other club does
  7. to be fair Nick from about 1980 the home support at The Dell became splinter with migrations from the Milton, to under the West Stand, then East and then Archers as away fan baiting became part of the game. It was something that happen all over the country
  8. interesting debate we must be the only club in the country that have 20 yards of open seats , a plastic cover over the next block and then a row of OB between 500 supporters in the Itchen and the away fans. Also why do we need a row of OB on the running track at half time in front of the Chapel. i know there are some old boys with big "histories" sitting there but they are to old to invade the pitch these days. good to see a big queue for tickets before the game, hope some of them will start buying in advance after todays performance, shame we do nothave another home league game until 24th
  9. if that was the case why do so many fly behind the goal, i think you are under estimating how difficult it is
  10. Sorry Nick but the first 20 mins defensively he was off the pace as i sais earlier AP pulled him to one side as the others were celebrating the first goal, and was obviously concerned by his performance where he had mis timed his jumping for headers at the back. improved after that
  11. great result throughly enjoyed it a bit shakey to start, and AP had a quick word with Trotman after we scored first goal because he was awful during the first 20mins. bit concerned that KD was chiped but after that he had little to do. pleased to see that during the last bit of the warm up we were actually practising Papa getting to by line and crossing it.
  12. had being the operative word
  13. agreed except for the first sentence the Chapel is for us old boys who have been there and done it, the old "talent" in the block i sit in would have guaranteed 50 OB to themselves. Nothing is going to happen because lets face it we are the only club in the country that i know of that makes its own fans find another way home rather than keeping the away fans back for 10 minutes
  14. fair summary
  15. when i heard this at 6am this morning driving to work i checked the dates but it is october not april. glad i do not visit art galleries if that pudding is art
  16. Totally agree any one who stood through the humiliation at Fratton will have no sympathy. Shame Hants Police did not restrict access to Goldsmith Ave and Milton Road in Skatesville to away supports only after games, sorry forgot it is only SFC who inconvience home supporters after games, so i could have left early that day
  17. what i have noticed this season is the number of away fans who bring cameras to the game, last night the rovers fans were queing up to have a picture of the front of SMS,
  18. because you usually end up by knocking peoplewho imo have helped shape this club and given me great joy over the last 50 years of support, saw first game August 1960 and we thumped the Skates 5-1.
  19. never got one whilst playing for saints always a loud cheer if he headed ball
  20. and patience most of this lot would have been calling for Teds head years ago
  21. +1 Very worried to be agreeing with Nineteen/Sundance
  22. totally agree the issue for me last night was not getting to the byeline, we did that loads of times, it was why we checked back out and played it backwards for the cross to come in from a deep area
  23. exactly when they got it wide they hammered in the cross when we got it wide we turned back and played it either to the full back or inside, the full back was crossing from poor positions and if it went inside it went across the field. we broke from defence to slowly and the other 3 midfield players should donate their wages to Hammond who, in the 2nd half, played on his own.
  24. do not think so anyway cannot stay in chat , time for tea and then a quick drive to SMS COYR
