  1. Looking at our upcoming fixtures and the effect a Fulham win could have on them with a new Manager I think its fair to say this is an absolute must not lose game, if not must win for us. Lose and its very hard to see us having more than 15 points at Christmas which is quite frankly, abysmal and should see multiple heads roll.
  2. Gallagher and Long are both injured. Fit strikers are Austin, Gabbi and Obafemi.
  3. Austin up front to stretch their back four.
  4. How many domestic loans can we have? Assuming we stay up we should try to sign Clyne in the summer. Cedric will go as only 1 year left on his contract.
  5. 4-3-3 He and Forrest were in the 3 either side of a more conservative player. He had freedom to get forward when needed but wasnt playing just off the striker by any means. Basically a box to box central midfielder.
  6. Just played a big part in Scotland's equaliser against Israel. Not the most refined player but on a couple of occassions so far he has created something out of nothing for the Jocks simply by running past an opponent instead of passing sideways. Definitely has a burst of pace and a little bit of power. Hope he gets a run in our side as he offers something different, albeit will never be a really cultured, technical player.
  7. Slightly bizarre in the Telegraph article that its suggested Reed 's departure might somehow improve the performances of the team in the immediate term.
  8. He is such a good player. His replacement can't get into his national team ahead of Zanka from Huddersfield!
  9. Mitchell makes a lot of sense. Could possibly attract him with a bigger role than in Leipzig but ultimately it will come down to cash, so doubt he will come back. Wee Ross seems bullet proof.
  10. Kelly Cates is excellent as a presenter and on radio.
  11. Should be Westergaard and Toshida IMO.
  12. Would rather he just focused on his own game to be honest. He is perhaps a little too emotional at times.
  13. Lemina out of Intl games with thigh injury.
  14. We have no money to spend.
  15. We have no money for January transfers IMO.
  16. Would go with Richardson as a front sweeper for this one, Ron.
  17. We didn't outplay them. If anything, especially first half it was the opposite. By PL standards it was a 'meh' home performance. Whilst the starting XI did well, the Hughes subs ruined us.
  18. Hi Tony, Just to let you know, we have no "funding" to back anyone with. All IMHO of course.
  19. Draw was what we deserved IMO. Officials obviously horrendous, but for both teams. Hughes got all the subs wrong and it cost us. 1. Austin is busted at PL level. Obviously he 'scored' but also became extremely isolated as his movement is awful. Shouldn't have come on that early IMO. Could have shifted Gabbi up front and added Elyounoussi or JWP. (Gabbi had a good allround game, as did Hoedt and Lemina for me). 2. JWP is a terrible sub and at that stage we needed Obafemi or Moi to keep a bit of pressure on them. Instead we gifted them momentum and allowed them to pin us back... 3. Obafemi should have come on as soon as they scored. We are ****e, clueless in the boardroom and on the pitch.
  20. Quite. Seen nothing from Gabbiadini to suggest he should be starting to be honest.
  21. Bit concerning: Notebook: FIFA investigating whether #MCFC have broken TPO rules; #Southampton owner Gao Jisheng to pick club’s next manager; #Burnley’s technical director search hits stumbling block; #Leicester’s week of mourning; Courtois still at odds with Conte. https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/fifa-investigates-manchester-city-over-alleged-third-party-ownership-breach-w097szvnh
  22. So now we have it, from Krueger's mouth, the following are on the Ownership Board of the Club: Mr Gao Nelly Gao Katherina Liebherr Ms Li (Finance) Ralph Krueger Sorry, but IMO that isn't a group suitable to successfully run a PL football team and I wouldn't have any faith in them getting things right. Massively lacking a CEO with football knowledge, let alone the eventual 'replacement' for Reed. Worrying times. https://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/17213570.southampton-chairman-ralph-krueger-on-les-reed-mark-hughes-the-january-window-and-gao-jisheng/
  23. Did Reed pick the team? I just assume(d) Hughes doesn't rate him - which is fairly believeable as he has been poor for as much time as good at Saints.
  24. Will be interesting if we try to get someone who is in work as that could take quite some time, like Everton with Brands.
  25. Don't see Hughes going until at least when a new guy is appointed to replace Reed, and likely that won't be quick - even more so of it were someone employed elsehwere - which you would imagine is needed to get the right person.
