Shows our cover CB weakness that we pretty much cannot rest Fonte and VVD at the same time. If we sign anyone in Jan its a CB for me. Weakest depth area by far.

Sunderland have gone with a strong lineup. Should be a good, tough game.

He played in the U23 game on Monday, could only manage 60mins. I think he is still a way off. Besides, he wasn't overly convincing when fully fit.

He was doing very well for them and had been a regular starter under AVB. Then got a bad knee injury which really hampered his career for a couple of seasons.

Good opportunity to rest a few key players like VVD, Fonte and Romeu. Would prefer we had a better 4th CB option to mote comfortably do this - that is definitely our weakness depth wise. Draw could open up nicely if we win and get a bit of luck.
