so much mediocrity out there. If they recognise we are in fact pretty average and step it up, we will be in trouble. That said, we can hold on until half time and then maybe come out faster second half.

Hesketh is having a mare so far.

Smallest Saints side ever?

ask for a refund.

he did at Sheff United in that infamous cup game. Woeful display, but I agree with other posters that its tough judging players on intermittent displays. Players need a good run in the side to blossom. Whether he really is good enough is hard to say.
-
not sure. Will ask him now. He will have a purchase history, but he's lived in Sweden a long time, so not sure how far back it goes.
-
my guess is that Fonte's agent tipped off the journalist who could then write the story having got a `reliable' source. My guess might be wrong though.

Will the club make Inter tickets available to people without a history from 2014/15 onwards? I have a friend living in Sweden that is coming but hasn't got a recent history so hasn't been able to get a ticket with his name on it thus far.

Les Reed talks Foreign Player Quota & Scouting Street Football
Chez replied to SuperSAINT's topic in The Saints
You never see kids playing cricket or football on the street these days. Too many cars and fear of weirdos. Also is there anywhere these days that you can get away with smacking a ball against a building/wall (left and right foot) for hours on end as is kids used to do? -

Why has Les revealed this to anyone outside the club thereby giving away a possible critical advantage? Or is it in fact a very clever way of promoting the club to street footballers and their parents that perhaps wouldn't look at the club in a good light, for whatever reason? I.e. Les attempting to give us more street cred (no doubt there are gangsta/blood type phrases that would work better here, but I'm too old for that ****). -
I assume Everton were the first though?

I've seen a few people praising Redmond on this thread, but I wanted to do so myself. I thought he was very good yesterday and surprised one or two weren't impressed. He really caused the opposition problems with his movement, but what impressed me most was his ball retention. Time after time he held the ball up when under pressure and came out of tight areas with the ball. Losing Mane was always going to hurt us and finding someone with that extreme pace and trickery was perhaps going to be impossible, but what Redmond seems willing to do is dribble, dribble, dribble and then release when it is on. Quick passing is of course important, but there is also a need for ball retention in the opponents final third - it keeps us high up the pitch, allows players to push up/make runs and stops the ball going backwards all the time in our efforts to keep it. He certainly does that and offers just enough pace to stretch teams. I have to say he has come on a fair bit since I watched him at Brum. He still looks full of confidence, but now also assured that he is doing the right things. He also looks like he is already very comfortable in this side, like he has been here for years. I guess the one thing that will be questioned is the number of goals, but if the side plays better and creates more with him down the middle that is all that matters.

It's very hard not to like Romeu.

announcement expected today about next stage of sales, so they might say how many have gone, especially if its a lot as that will encourage the buying of memberships.
-
I hadn't considered that, but realistically how many people bought a membership this summer but hadn't been to a game for two years? I doubt there were any. The window for `members' to buy Inter tickets is large. Only one reason for that - to encourage more people to fork out £25. Can't fault the clubs business techniques. I'm just an old **** that remembers when it was a football `club'. Hay ho.
-
so fans that spend £25 on a membership now (perhaps worried they might miss out) but haven't been to a game for a couple of years get priority over fans that have attended in the recent past? This trying to squeeze every last penny out of fans is what does my head in. Yes they are a business not a charity, but do me a favour. Rewarding fans that are most loyal makes sense and I certainly can't argue with how they have sold tickets, but this doesn't do that.
-
Inter to make it to general sale then do we think?
-
Anyone got an update on ticket numbers? Not sure I want to pay the £25 ticket tax, i.e. membership unless I have to.
-
isn't that lower tier the lowest priced ticket, specifically for concessions or is that the same tier at the other end?

I would have thought the earlier `riskier' mate assisted ones will have the worst view.
-
agreed. It seems like a rather ****ty ploy by SFC to tempt fans into buying a membership.
