  1. I know nothing about this, but I was under the impression the shortage was always houses with more bedrooms not less?
  2. You would imagine someone that worked and then lost their job would already own clothes and shoes. You'd hpe that a new job could be found before these wore out. The benefits are there to keep you alive until you get the next job nothing more. Bus fairs for job interviews are another matter. I'd be more than happy for my taxes to help pay for those.

    Sky hate us

I do. He speaks very slowly - because his brain lacks the power to move his mouth and make words come out of it at the same time - which helps four year olds and those that speak English as a second language understand what is being discussed. Simple.
  4. are any Adidas kits good? They always look far too busy IMO.
  5. the white kit then?
  6. the trouncing they gave us in the cup perhaps gave them a false sense of security.
  7. ...with a **** cv and a tat on his neck.
  8. on a meter? Is that water and waste?
  9. own brand, cheapest bread, lots of woopsie isle stuff, no booze or treats and £40 a week is just about do able.
  10. It would be good if he did it for at least a month and had to get a job in that time (perhaps using someone else name and less impressive CV) and any costs associated with getting to an interview etc.
  11. not much spare for fags, beer and Sky TV
  12. Another tremendous game at SMS. Beating the top sides used to be what we did best at the Dell and we're now doing at SMS. Brilliant stuff. I have to say Benitez did us a massive favour with his team selected and subs. Leaving Hazard on the bench and then bringing Benayoun in instead if Ba was just the kind of poor management we needed. But we still had to do the business and the side did us proud. Boruc - nothing to do. Kicking a little below his best. Clyne 8 - Outstanding fist half. His link up play with Puncheon was first class and he got to the byeline several times. Underestimated Moses a couple of times in the second half getting the wrong side of him. Can see why Chelsea are linked with him. Far more progressive than Azpilicueta Jos 8 - beaten in the air by Tores a few times, but very solid and very composed. Very good distribution short and long. Yoshida 8 got tight to Torres when needed to. Made a lot of very good choices. One or two very poor passes early on, but forming a good partnership with Jos. Shaw 9 just when you think he is beaten he recovers. Just needs a goal to top off one of these great displays. Kept Moses pretty quiet, which is no mean feat. Sign him in the summer and we can start dreaming if going places. Cork 8 totally dominated the middle in the first half. Never beaten, How he managed to bring down Moses in the first half is beyond me. He was totally beaten but literally threw himself head first into the back of his legs to prevent him breaking. It's that desire that makes him such a great player for us. Our upturn coincides with him and Shaw coming into the side. I don't think I've given him less than 8 out of 10 since. My player of the season. Morgan 8 supreme in the first half. He really is a top notch player, but saw less of him in the second half as we became a little more desperate in our defending. Punchen 7 great first half display but less effective in the second as Chelsea too charge. I wondred if by taking him off we'd have less ball retention. We certainly struggled to keep it but not sure he would have made a huge difference. Rodriguez 8 fantastic work rate and great goal. He caused them plenty of problems as Terry/Ivanovic were so slow its not true. Left us a little exposed down the left, because he played high up the pitch, but he can't be in two places at once. The gamble paid off. Davis 8 very good siplay again. Thought he linked the play beautifully in the first half. First touch was imaculate and gae Chelsea no opportunity t get a foothold in the game. Lambert 8 Usual Ricky fair. Won countless headers, linked the play so well and then a freekick of the highest order. It's been a while since he tucked on of those away, but it was just teh perfect distance Davis - 6 Two decent saves and commanded his srea well. He kicked poorly. That was all down to poor first touches that brought the ball onto his left side. Instead of gambling on his weaker left he decided to smash it safe into touch with his right. Looked ugly, but safe choices I guess. In future perhaps he'll clear first time instead. I see little point in controlling it is that is the outcome. Ward-Prowse 6 chased hard. Not sure he has the same sort if effect on games when coming on as a sub as he has had when he played in the early games, but always tough to join a game late on especially when we are backs agaist the wall. Fox wated time well
  13. we beat the champions, the champions of europe. we beat the champions, the champions of europe. we beat the champions, the champions of europe.
  14. Relegated. Lovely.
  15. will he have any right to appeal? How long before an appeal could be heard?
  16. surely one season ends the day before the other starts? Some day in June isn't it?
  17. They did announce some sort of contracts exchanged, so if the price is right I actually can't see any reason why they won't come on down. And good for them.
  18. Not being good enough or performing isn't always about a lack of passion for the shirt. Gerrard gives a ****, but when he's not scoring worldies right left and centre like he's given the opportunity to for Liverpool, then you start looking at the numer of times his hollywood balls go straight to the opposition or into touch. The same of Lampard. Reduce the ten chances to score from the edge of the box down to one and suddenly he looks a lot less clinical. Ask him to do what he does for Chelsea (finish off wonderful attacking moves) AND track runners (which he doesn't have to do at Chelsea) and then he starts to look a liability. Rooney cares, we just expect too much, especially when returning too soon from injury. He's not a two in a million Messi or Ronaldo, he's just a very very good footballer that tries too hard to drag average England players up a level or two.
  19. I liked the Strachen celebration more. Mourinho eat your heart out. I have to say the goal looked better from the other side of the pitch
  20. Amazing goal. What number cap was it for that goal in Rio? As his career progressed Barnes was the most frustrating England player ever. He was absolutely amazing for Liverpool, unplayable at times, but stick him in an England shirt and he seemed to just bottle it, preferring to pass it square or backwards than try and beat his man. Put the Liverpool shirt back on and he'd beat five and smash it into the top corner.
  21. I don't watch friendlies. Total waste of time. Can you recall anyone else taking him apart?
  22. if you are progressing up the ladder work wise, buy at the top end of your budget. If you are buying a house that needs work, don't underestimate how much this will cost and how much time it will take. Renovating can be enjoyable and satisfying, but with every floorboard you lift you can be sure you'll unearth another job that needs doing. Every job takes 5 times as long as you imagined and costs a lot more than you'd hope. Just so you know houses tend to bleed money and there is no landlord to sort it out for you. A couple of things when viewing: Run the tap/shower in the bathroom. Lack of water pressure will leave you without your dream shower. Have a good look at the boiler. A new one of these will cost you £2500 to buy and install. Don't be scared of signs of damp, but do understand exactly where it comes from and why. Usually a leak.
  23. good point. Not a Cortese style signing though. Far too...English?
  24. Bridge was a class act for us. I never saw anyone beat him. I'll never forget his goal at the Reebok. I was absolutely gutted when I read in a Sunday paper that he was off to Chelsea. He deserved pretty much all those caps. I think only when he came back after a long injury and was rushed back into the England side before fully fit was the cap not really deserved.
  25. I'd have no problem singing his name at the Madjeski just before kick off, but once that is done it's all Southampton...
