you're not the only one, he should have done much better with that one and the one before that Maynard scored from but was deemed offside. He'll be very disappointed with that, but he did make two brilliant saves to keep us level before hand.
don't we all, but without his transfer fee would we have been able to afford Cork, Jos, Chaplow and Fox not to mention the new big contracts for Fonte, Lambert etc.?
good to see 'ull losing, they looked a very good side at SMS. Reading are another I'd like to see lose a few. Only half time in a lot of games, but just shows what a tough league this is.
QPR went through a period last season of 6 draws, 2 defeats and 2 wins, admittedly there were a lot of the better sides in that run, but it just shows that even the champions don't go through the season winning every week.
I recall a quote from McInnes before the game that Bristol would "want to get some of the money they invested in him back" suggesting that they want less than £2.25M they paid for him.
they had the more clear cut chances, but we were the more dominant side.
Back to thread, who on Solent said we are not interested? Having said that, have we ever been interested? Lots of rumours but nothing remotely concrete to link us unlike Sharp in the summer.
his finish for the offside goal was different class. I thought he looked dangerous, but he had a couple of other half chances that he spurned badly. I guess it depends on how much Bristol City want for him. We need some pace up front as a different option. Connelly is not a match winner from the bench.
their two CBs were outstanding and either could have got my man of the match (might be a bit hard on de Ridder who had his best game in a Saints shirt). We must have put in about 30 crosses and they won all of them or ensured we didn't get a clean header on any.
