  1. you make a very good point but didn't Bagpuss leave for Spurs in 2008?

    Bubble

I was told that a Saints fan volunteered to challenge the bubble on court, but he did so too late to get a judge to rule on it. I expect the FSF to search for a candidate in Pompey.

    Bubble

did it? It cost me more money, obtaining tickets was a massive hassle and in the end there was no difference to travelling by a club coach. If you lived near Portsmouth or London way it was considerable inconvenience. Did the Policing costs go down? Helicopters and god knows how many police throughout the route suggests otherwise to me. If they did then I can see the argument for it, but did it? In the end what actually worked as I don't recall there being any trouble at the 2005 game so what improvement was there? I do agree that its only fair that they have a bubble as we did, but I still don't see the bubble as some huge success. Left field but made me chuckle for some reason
  4. the Northern based Saints that regularly attend will still buy tickets, but the idiots amongst us that go to games even when they are on TV might have second thoughts at that price so you might be right there. Premiership prices are not something to look forward to especially when every game can be seen on TV live.
  5. The away side gets a 5% commission on every away ticket sold.

    Dickson recalled

do you think he's lazy or just worried about getting caught out of position.. He never gets to the byeline ever, not since he came on in the Leicester game anyway. Personally I'm very concerned about his defending. Because he is slow he drops deep so he won't be done behind, but that means the winger has all day to get his cross in. Havign said that he seemed to get tighter in the Brum game. Hopefully a sign of things to come.

    Dickson recalled

maybe we didn't spend £1.8m. He's a strange player. He looks classy but when it comes to it his delivery us terrible time after time. I've yet to see a decent free kick or corner from him. The law of average say he'll get one right soon, but who the hell wants a fullback without pace? He's not terrible by any means. I love the way he can get himself out of a tight spot. He has a fantastic first touch, as good as you'll see at this level, but he needs a kick up the arse and made to put in a shift up and down that line. He does the bare minimum.

I wouldn't mind Dickson being left out in the cold if we had signed a **** hot full back. We signed Fox and he has yet to show me he has anything but a decent first touch. Ryan has everything else, but that sadly.

    I agree with the skates.
  12. hope you are right. We desperately need a win on Saturday. I worry about Charlie Austin. I just get the feeling he's one of those striker that hasthe knack of scoring against us.

    Loan Window

can we loan out Yago Falque?
  14. yesterday I thought we'd win the league, today I think we could miss the play offs. Football, bloody hell.
  15. poorly. To be honest we carried him and I'd put the Millwall domination in the first 30 a lot down to him. He pretty much left Hammond to do all the work defensively. They ran rings round us in the middle. We never got close enough to them and Chaplow's lack of shaprness and speed across the ground were a big part of that. The first goal came from our midfield not covering in front of the two centre backs. Chaplow did not work hard enough to get himself in the right position to follow Trotter (good player and one we should look at). He got his second wind and improved slightly towards the end of the half, but not much. Everything good about Chaplow stems from his energy, drive, and pacey straight line running. He didn't offer any of that, so offered nothing really. Yes he'll improve, but personally I didn't like paying £18 to watch him jog around the pitch to improve his fitness.
  16. why on earth I chose to sit in the Northam last night I will never know. Full of clueless kids that seem to know the square route of **** all about the game. I could not be more embarrassed by the `Blowing Bubbles' renditions. Have a word with yourself if you sang that once twice or thrice. Mind you at least they turned up. Where was our great support?
  17. I forgot to mention that in the build up to their second goal the ball went miles out and should have been a throw to us. How the lino missed it I will never know. The third goal looked miles offside and several people in the Itchen had some very choice words for the lino who quite simply was miles behind play and missed it.
  18. Yes I thought Hammond was worth a 9. He had a great game. He was everywhere and if fit partner we wouldn't have struggled so much ion the first 30 minutes. Lambert? Blimey, the games about opinions I know, but he wasn't on long enough to justify a MOTM tag.
  19. not nearly enough decent crosses considering the number of opportunities and time they both have. Fox's set pieces are terrible.
  20. oh dear what a dissappointment. The attendance, the atmosphere, the first 30 minutes, the defending, the crossing, barts kicking, the finishing, the two linos, the West Ham song, the missed opportunity...oh well maybe I need to look at the positives (seeing as for once Adkins spared us his false positivity and told us how he rally felt) and that was certainly seeing Chaplow back (although miles from his best), Reeves ability and, er, **** I'm all out. Bart 4 two decent saves, both I expected him to make, but still good, handling OK, but his kicking was absolutely woeful. He sliced nearly all, failed to get height or distance and put us in trouble several times. He actually got away with it on several other occasions. I thought the Northam were very patient with him. I struggled to not moan at him. I've never been impressed and don't want to see him as our second choice keeper next season unless he learns how to kick again, Richardson 6 ball watched a couple of times and nearly exposed, but to be fair he had little cover in front of him. He improved but yet again his crosses we poor. Too long of too short. Crap really. Compare that with Millwall who had two of three chances and every cross was dangerous. Fonte 7 decent display for me Martin 5 got done a couples of times badly by their striker Harding 6 got beaten badly for their second. Crossing poor. Hammond 9 thought he had a very good game. Worked tremendously hard and kept the ball well. Looked up for it. Chaplow 5 miles off the pace. Left us massively exposed in the middle leading to the first goal. Improved, but work rate was not high enough. Yes he's just coming back, and its great, but the mark is for how he played not how he did play before injury de Ridder 7 not bad at all, busy, lots of effort and movement, good control etc. but where is that end product we need? Seriously need him to be scoring the odd goal like Feeney's third - coming inside and curling one into the top corner. Never even tries it. The one shot he had was horrible. Lallana 8 ran the game especially in the second half Chung 6 lots of runs, sadly him and de Ridder seemed to make the same ones, but until Reeves came on none were really found. Poor effort in the second half when dribbling through, and a very poor miss when it looked easier to score. I'm not all that impressed. He should have taken one of those chances Guly 6 not as bad a some fans will make out. Better in midfield than up front, but we improved with Lambert Reeves 8 Looked extremely good, one under hit pass, but some sublime through balls too. Impressive. Lambert 7 very deep, took his goal well Barnard not on long enough to get a mark
  21. what the ignore button was made for.
  22. I don't have a clue who is fit, nearly fit, needs a game or needs a rest so here's my shot in the dark... Bart Stephens Fonte Martin Harding De Ridder Reeves Hammond Chaplow Lee Lambert
  23. nah, we will.
  24. can I suggest inside the stadium or it won't be there long. There is so much fun to be had with that idea. Red and white seats spelling out `SFC feeder club'.
  25. It's simple, unless there is a buyer offering more than the liquidation value, he will just let it ride. I suppose he could dip his hand in his pocket again to provide him with more time to find a buyer.
