sorry no can do due to the fact he played one game for Watford at the start of the season.
-
Wilson can. He has only played for the skates. BTWO they discovered that Basinas' legs have gone hence why he didn't get a game for Harte or now for Grant. Yebda is on loan from Benfica.

Thomas is average to poor in every department IMO, whilst Perry does everything well except win headers which is somewhat vital for a CB don't you think? The difference in the side when we brought two huge ball winning center back in Trottman and Jardi was massive. Big centre backs are a must in any league. Happy with Perry as cover. Happy with Thomas as right back cover.

Those that had seen him or had spoken to a Stoke fan about him said he was rubbish when he signed - before being widely criticised for doing so.

Absolutely woeful start to his career especially at Huddersfield. I thought he looked very good once Pardew worked out that he's a Frank Lamptard type of player that looks best in a free role down the middle of midfield making lots of runs into the box. He had the pace and energy to do a lot of closing down as well and in the Bristol Rovers and Gillingham (I think) games I thought he was excellent. We have missed that pace closing oponents down ever since. The call up for England cam at just the wrong time and b the time he had returned we had moed to 4-4-2 and there was no room for him. Shame.

weather is no worse than it was at Leeds, but I guess there is more bad stuff on the way so it kinda makes sense. Dissapointed as was looking forward to it. Hopefully it works in our favour as we can get a decent centre back in before we play Huddersfield - which we need badly.

attendance puts money into Franchise FC's pockets, which for some is simply offensive and a strong reason not to attend. For others the fact that its on SKY, is a second rate competition, kicks off at 7pm, is midweek, one of 50 odd games this season, and a good 2.5 hours away at depending on traffic, is bound to put them off. I'd of thought 2000 would be a decent turn out. If it was the League cup you could multiply that figure by 4 or 5.
-
not sure how we can compete with Norwich. They can match our wages - if we are looking to break even rather than rely totally on hand outs, and more importantly they look like a good bet for promotion this season.

actually just about every Liverpool fan new the job Alonso did before he left, and a growing number of Saints fans are know what Morgan offers us.
-
perhaps he dropped to £20k a week in Turkey (by all accounts its £0 a week at the moment), and maybe he will drop to £10k a week in Soton? Pure speculation of course, the question is, is he even worth that these days? He was a 1 goal every 5 games at the top level, would that become 1 in 2 in the third tier? I was never all that impressed by him, but League 1 is a long long way short of the Premiership so perhaps he would look outstanding.
-
he's both. First touch is not quite good enough at the top level, but his work rate and tenanacity is excellent. Much prefer him to Wotton. Pardew kept playing him at the front of the diamond in preseason and he looked lost there. No idea why AP thought that was his best position (perhaps he was concerned about the quality of his first touch so didn't want him sat in front of th eback four where a poor touch can be very costly) but it was clear from the Ajax game that his days were numbered.

there was mention of £50k transfer fee in the Mirror a while back, I thought that was low, but a free contract? Well I guess it removes a wage, but I'd of thought a player of his age playing in the Championship within a contract was worth £100,000 surely?
-
I must have missed something, what exactly is it that tells us he is on a huge wage? The fact he plays for a Turkish club, or the fact they don't have enough to pay him? Neither are conclusive. As for relevancy of being paid or not, well if you have no income then you are going to take the highest offer available, if that is nowhere near what you got in the past you can sit on your hands earning squat waiting for an offer down the line, or you can lower the lowest amount you are willing to get out of bed for. I dare say a reasonable offer from us rising based on goals, games and promotions might interest.

I wish I could post with such maturity. A quick look on the first page of this thread would tell you where we stand.

According to the article in When Saturday Comes Vassel's Turkish club hasn't paid him recently or possibly at all since he went there. He has been quoted as saying he loves the fans so much that he is willing to stay despite the problems - how long that lovin lasts is going to depend on how quick they are to get some money into their club.

if you are reading this thread Antonio, let me just say that Lallana apart, I haven't enjoyed watching a player as much as as I have you for a very long time. I love your directness, love your pace, love the fact that you are willing to just kick it in front of you and chase after it - brilliantly simple and a tactic I've suggested countless times before, I love the `not quite under control but don't care I'll still keep charging in the right direction with defenders literaly bouncing off me' forward runs, and what I love most is seeing someone get to the byeline. Keep it up lad, the way you turned the game around at Leyton Orient was a joy to behold. The way you beat yourself and five MK Dons players without ever having the ball under control was the funniest thing I've seen at SMS for a long time. Tremendous effort and will to win. Keep working on your touch mate, the rest will look after itself.
-
it didn't, but we can still agree to allow him to leave for nothing if we wanted to.
-
you posted them on SWF, so they are yours.

Can I suggest you write to the club immediately with full details and perhaps enclosing photoscopies of your booking details. This will be a very good test of the club's fan friendly nature under the new regime - which to date has not shown through one iota. As much as Lowe was hated, when it came to getting refunds on STs etc. he put his money where his mouth was if any fan was not happy. This is not quite the same, but the club may possibly give you free seats for the game if not hotel costs. Good luck and let me know how you got on.
-
not excited at all as it was always on the cards, but I am pleased though as when coming off the bench he has been tremendous in my book, changing games for us such as at Leyton Orient. For those that can't stand him try to put to one side the less than top notch first touch and focus on his confidence and powerful running to the byeline. We've needed and pretty much all called for someone to run to the byeline for about 8 years now and at last we have one. Yes sometimes the cross is terrible, sometimes average and sometimes cut out, but at least he makes their fullback work.
-
if you are asking why the big difference between the two overall attendances rather than away attendances that is easy. The Exeter game was on boxing day, a popular football day, it was a league match meaning 13k tickets are sold before you even start (ST holders) and many tickets were sold on the back of decent form. The FA cup game is not part of the season ticket, so many ST holders don't go...

never want to hear that song again. Ever.
