has Holmes actually done anything yet? If he is the benchmark then god help us.
-
only one game this season, has he been injured or is wiki out of date?
-
I think it was a very good move. I can't stand Skacel at left back, he swicthes off and looks like he doesn't give a **** half the time. I like Mills but he is reckless. I hope Molyneux is quality.
-
why have Coventry not bought him? He's been there on loan several times, surely if he was good enough they would snap him up?
-
Smith is the same player he has always been. A few flashy tricks, a lack of genuine pace and no real desire to get stuck in when called for. He is lightweight, far too easily bullied off the ball and one kick and he's out of the game. The one thing I like is when he gets to the byeline, if he does that 6 or 7 times a game then that can only help us. Best of luck to the lad. 6 month deal on peanuts is smart.

Skacel and Mills.
-
neither do I but try Danny Livesey from Carlise for size. Pele from WBA might also be an option.
-
I doubt there is a sell on clause, at the time Chelsea were paying in hard cash so we probably took that option rather money down the line, also little point in putting in a sell on clause when the player has already got the big money move, any moe from Chelsea is going to be downwards, oh...
-
the don't want him so they are going to do a deal on his wages. After his poor showings for Fulham I doubt any other club rate him as high as we do.
-
Perry got one earlier in the season against Brum. Lancashire has a bright future IMO, but at this point he is not strong enough, we need height and a ball winner.
-
Skacel must be off, no other reason for signing another left back. Amazed Smith has got a deal, he is lightweight.
-
any suggestions alpine? How about buying Tamika Mkandawire from Leyton Orient, loaning Pele back for WBA or Baird back from Fulham.
-
Baird and Perry with Skacel and James at fullback, that has to be smallest back four in the history of CCC football. We need to get some height in. 6'3" Danny Livesey from Carlise would be a decent target.
-
Looks like Coppel is going to play his reserves again hence Pearce's recall. Great opportunity for Lancashire against Manure but we need to get someone in doubke quick for the rest of the season. ****tu at Bolton wouold be great but way out of our reach. Anyone got any other suggestions. Davenport seems to be available again at WHU.
-
I wonder how big any loan fee would be? I don't see much benefit to us in loaning Surman out. Sounds like someone is taking the **** knowing we are financially crippled. Mind you the Telegraph gets as many predictions wrong as the rest of the papers.
-
perhaps Skacel wants less and Ipswich are prepared to offer more now? Not sure really unless Skacel is going to play in midfield?
-
you are of course correct, but if we got over the odds for Surman then maybe just maybe there would be money available. Cardiff want £6m+ from Stoke for Joe Ledley. Is he that much better than Surman I wonder? Anyone that comes in clearly has to be on peanuts wages. No point in selling Surman for £1.5m only for all of the money to go on one or two players wages (hence John and Rasiak out the door). 15k crowds mean players on less than £5k a week.
-
Lee Molyneux. I'd of thought that will only happen if Skacel goes to Ipswich.
-
this looks like the start of a transfer rumour/January window thread to me. Excellent. How about renaming it and making it a sticky? For what its worth I'd like to see Skacel, Saga and Euell out the door. Primiarly to reduce the wage bill but also because I'm not a fan of any of those three. If I'm honest I know that Surman will be sold. The club has no choice, but I would be very dissapointed if the fee is the wrong side of £2.5m. Lallana is clearly a talent. I'd like to see him get the right guidance as he could blossom into a Joe Cole sort of player. Anyone that writes him off after 20 odd first team games is just shortsighted. This sort of talent doesn't come round very often and you need to enjoy it not moan about it. As for players coming in we need some pace out wide, and some strength and power down the middle and all round the pitch some quality. If we had money available I'd buy Dean Keates from Colchester and Andy Bishop from Bury. If we are looking at loans then how about some of these: Pele from WBA Vaz Te from Bolton Leroy Lita from Reading John Bostock from Spurs Damien Plessis from Liverpool

The Forest fans are not loing that appointment I can tell you. Lets hope its an arry-like outcome for them.
-
lazy goalscorer. I just could never get my head round that.
-
my guess would be that we will need to either have sold Lallana/Surman, cut a deal with Euell or loaned out Saga and Dyer again before we can afford the Cork loan.
-
Dyer loan ended at weekend - reporting back for training "in New Year"
Chez replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
perhaps McClaggan can fill that right wing position. I wonder i Dyer will work to regain his place or moan at losing it? -
amen. Smith is weak, a bottler and I don't want him pussyfooting in front of me for the rest if the season. As for strikers perhaps we do need numbers. Robertson is not the answer though.
-
whats wrong with playing Patterson up front? It worked yesterday and he has looked good in every game I have seen him in so far.
