the echo has done its best and the reserve team manager mus have seen him play so job done. Whether Pardew prefers a different path is a another thing. I wonder how big Saeijs' wages are?
  2. 2-2 classic. See you all there.
  3. funny how Gillingham leaked that information into the press. Can't help but add a few pennies to the price tag.
  4. great idea. Let the club know.

Unsurprisingly I value my own opinion much higher than yours. I saw Le Tiss' first few seasons and even the great one failed to impress at times and was rightly dropped. Chris Nicholl was a canny fella though and gave him plenty of time to develop into the best player you will ever see in a Saints shirt ever. I'm not saying Lallana will match him, but you'll find there are not too many `class' players at this level so you'd better enjoy him while you can, even if thatmeans suffering his poor games. I'm getting fed up of saying it, but I do so again. Lallana is going to be a quality player. Get off his back and get behind him. With a bit of luck we'll get promoted and not lose him at the end of the season.

quality use of facts. Was there a pen against Charlton though? JPS was terriffic last season. He had a couple of very very poor games, but in the others he was the stand out player. I gave him 9/10 for a lot of them. Tough, committed and decent in posession. Great in the air and not the slowest I've seen on the deck. Even without the `I want to play for Saints' style quotes, I'd get him in, but the fact he really wants to play for us even in the lower leagues (as long as a high wage is not his real reason for wanting to join) is fantastic.

play him anywhere and he will do a job. He has a first touch, sticks his foot in, works hard, and challenges well for anything in the air. He obviously lacks size and pace but I don't see why he couldn't play across the midfield and in attack. Far too much negativity on here considering the talent he posesses. If he said he was willing to sign a new five year deal I'd get him signed up right now without question.
  8. great tie.

I simply do not understand anyone that suggests he does not put enough effort in. He may not be uneffective in some games but there is not a single game where he does not give his all.

IMO he is better than ALL the centre backs we have at the club so if there is a chance of him coming here lets take it. Perry is a liability and Thomas is extremleyaverage. Lancashire will improve with games but lets loan him out to get those games.
  11. a female version of Jamie Cureton?
  12. has he played for them at all i any of their freindlies? If not then he clearly is not in their plans and will want to offload as they are struggling badly financially.
  13. with a bit of luck we will have made that CB signing 9Raynes perhaps) and he will come straight in. Agree regarding Paterson. He can run his socks off again and when he and defenders start to get tired Rasiak can come on.
  14. no offense but I've yet to see Thomson look decent against anyone. Perhaps the lower league opposition with tired legs flattered hinm somewhat?
  15. The exact wording in the echo: "Pardew said he is also hoping to secure the services of a new centre back soon and added a deal for Radhi Jaidi wasn’t completely dead yet. " to me suggests that Pardew has identified and made an approach for a centre back - perhaps Raynes from Stockport - and the Jardi deal may turn out to be in addition to this signing, rather than a choice between the two. That would be fantastic in my eyes as neither Thomas of Perry are good enough IMO.
  16. I think Gillet is exactly that person and perforned that role well last season. Schneiderlin also likes to sit very deep. All three get nose bleeds when they cross the half way line.

just bought 2 (Tuesday 11th) online for behind the goal for £16 each. Hope it doesn't rain.
  18. think it might be more expensive on the day
  19. Sousa at Swansea expects to bring in a player or two in the next couple of days. Both Saga and Rasiak have been linked in the last few weeks.
  20. Stephen Dawson. More of a holding midfielder and we appear to have a few of those.
  21. I'd take scumball like a shot. He is well passed his best as shown by the skates happiness to let him go, but he'd have no problem whatsoever at this level. Having already earned millions you'd have to wonder why he would even want to drop down to the Championship though, never mind League 1 or 2. Never going to happen.
  22. is jobsite, their new sponsor, where they are recruiting their new players?

that lack of pace issue hits the mark. Lets hope it turns out to be the perfect move for all parties. Lets cross our fingers and hope he avoids injury and quickly gets a couple of chances and he takes them so we don't a Forlan style wait for his first goal.
