This is obviously garbage - if you look at Villa a while back you basically had someone or other saying "there's a board meeting and Gerrard will be sacked tomorrow" every single day for about four weeks. I think the mysterious posts from Hotsaint last night (now deleted, even more of a sign) talking about how we would be "happy now" told me enough. By ten this morning I reckon. The replacement is key - we haven't got a load of games for a caretaker/Selles etc. Really need someone to get in there.

They had Jones lined up within about 24 hours of Ralph going - pretty much zero time for fans to speculate before the Welsh Wonder arrived. So maybe - maybe - they are working on the replacement now, so there is a very short gap (rather than faffing around not sacking him). Or, they're just faffing about.

That's a useful metric. If nothing else Nathan Jones has brought certainty to Southampton Football Club. Before he arrived we were possibly going to be relegated this season. Now, with Jones in charge, we are certain to be relegated.
