If they get some points from those next four they will start to believe and then just hold on and hope for a stunning end of season run. We need to hope that pressure to win these next few will be too much for a squad that is, right now, not good enough. It's really important that we beat them. Because them staying up could be at the expense of us.

A point to build on yesterday's Boxing Day win would be a fantastic result going into the Newcastle match. And at least we're not playing a team who have engineered a little Covid holiday for themselves. They're as fresh/not fresh as we are. If we can go into that game on 21 points with Newcastle still on 10 there is going to be huge pressure on Howe. And yes I do want Man U ro win today.

Anyone looking at the rumour mill and thinking that Dele Alli to Southampton "keeps coming up" is deluded. We're barely in the top five clubs linked to him.
