It's more of an American parliamentary thing, with various examples of senators reading out huge pieces of (irrelevant) text for hours to just run the clock down to stop a bill passing through. Of course, the way Weston Super Saint has used it here is incorrect.

I think we need to score three to draw.
-
Seen the team. I have no doubt that tonight we will suffer a defeat so humbling that the fanbase will forever wear the humiliation on their souls like an unremovable tattoo of their own Mother's flange.

We should change it so most of the lyrics are about Paul Mitchell.

Everyone, except Emmanuel Macron. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/politics/2019/10/23/emmanuel-macron-demands-new-brexit-deadline-november-15/amp/?__twitter_impression=true

Looks likely. General Elections in November, World Cups in December, the whole world has gone effing mad.
-
It was basically decided by Macron, who vetoed the European Council's plan A which was to extend to the end of the year. So we are working to a deadline defined by the French #sovereignty

I can't believe all those thousands of people who are definitely saying Vestergaard is the best centre back to play in the British Isles since Bobby Moore. I wonder if you have a message for those people?

Jose Fonte criminally overlooked.

Happy Brexit Day everyone.

He seemed pretty down on Match of the Day in the face of what was, on paper, a pretty decent away point.

Quite aware of that sweetheart. I know that's the new wet dream, it's not what we're talking about here. Also, that won't ever happen either.

If the EU have got any sense of comedy they should give us an extension to December 31st 2020. If we ratify departure we leave the next day, no problem: whether that is tomorrow, the end of the month or some time next spring. So if needed time for an election that isn't held over Christmas or in January. However I think they will sit tight for now and see if the legislation can get through the HOC by the end of the month. The numbers suggest that this is possible now. If not they will let us roll on. I know some people still don't get it, but the one thing that ain't ever going to happen is no deal.

I thought we'd get a point.

Sh it team and absolutely no chance of anything other than a humiliating defeat. Not just a loss but a complete and abject humiliation that will be remembered through the ages.

Labour leave-supporters are falling over themselves to support the deal. It's going through no problem. And those Labour MPs have sealed the fate of Corbyn. Labour facilitating Brexit is a simultaneously a gift for the Conservatives (Boris delivers Brexit and takes all the credit) and a gift for the Lib Dems (Labour delivered Brexit and take all the blame). So that's something.
-
That would have been true for May's deal as well. Transition periods tend to, you know, end.
-
Indeed. Let's see how that plays out, especially with those who think that Brexit will be over and done with on November 1st.
-
Now Corbyn has bottled out of even trying to attach a second referendum to the deal I have reached the point where I think it might as well get voted through now. And it will, if only by a couple of votes. Wouldn't surprise me if the DUP abstained which would pretty much seal it. Will be a fascinating two or three years ahead.

You've got to love those cheeky anti-abortionist religious fundamentalist little scamps.
-
Yes, you're right. We could be signing up to a deal very similar to something rejected by Remainer-in-chief gutless dreadful negotiator Theresa May. We're really sticking it to Johnny Foreigner now.
-
So is Boris about to sign up to a deal that is remarkably similar to the proposal that caused him to resign from Theresa May's government 18 months ago?
-
Even the likes of Steve Baker is talking up the fact that he wants a deal and always wanted a deal honest he did. Gobble, gobble, yum yum yum.
