This morning I heard that it was a discussion point on Talksport and genuinely thought they were reacting to some crackpot idea, or had come up with it themselves. Turns out it is actually happening. Just bizarre.

It's a terrible cartoon mainly because it doesn't make sense. He could have been saying the rats are the terrorists alongside non terrorist migrants, but he can't because one of the men is carrying over a gun. So it would just about make sense with no rats and just the gun man, or no gun man and just the rats (although wouldn't approve of that, as pretty lazy and unnecessary). It's as offensive as a badly executed cartoon as it is plain offensive. Just dopey.

Indeed, I remember Man City well, and the end of that season was great. A bit revisionist to suggest it was doom from the start. it wasn't. His tenure was fine, he never actually got the chance to get going and he left quickly but without doing too much wrong. After two games he certainly wasn't to blame for relegation, I think the fu ckwit Wigley and the crook can take a bow for that. Signed Crouch who became an excellent player for us. He was appointed as an excellent lower league manager, much like the Dave Jones appointment but clearly didn't quite work out. Likely he wouldn't have taken us to the heights Gordon did but I liked him and still do. He went back to being an excellent lower league manager, although looks like his time is up at Yeovil.

Getting annoyed about the things the media say in your own head marks a pretty spectacular new low for this forum.

That book definitely falls into the category of "books where I can read the chapter I want to read in a quiet afternoon in Waterstones".

The first entry there is, well, The Gunpowder Plot. All the other "nasty ****" listed here can easily be matched by the actions of Boko Haram in one country alone. Nice try at achingly desperate moral equivalence but it doesn't really hang together.

Indeed odd. Agree about the framing of questions and happy to look askance at many surveys. But still maintain that to pretend that one in ten is anything other than a huge proportion when answering that particular question is bonkers even by SOG's particularly bonkers standard.
