Pointless question, if that was the case it would be a completely different goal. Why not go in the opposite direction - Would it be an assist if the pass was twenty yards further back and Yoshida had ran 60 yards out and shot from 40 yards out?
-
It should mean a contribution that helps create a goal, to the point that the goal wouldn't have happened without it, it a cross, a lay off, Gastons header from Sunday, Tadic's cross to Pelle on Weds etc. These days in the world of 'stats' and fantasy football, and in this case for some on this forum, it just seems to mean "whoever touched the ball before the goalscorer did". Maya picked the ball up ran and shot from 20 odd yards out. He made his own goal, the 1-2 with Gaston a part of it but hardly an assist. If roles were reversed and it was Gaston's run and shot and goal very much doubt the Gastonettes on here would be drooling about the "assist" from the full back.

Bit much to call his pass to Yoshida as an assist.

Never has a forum contributor been so patently, painfully obviously not American. Y'all, eight times. Okay then.

Sheffield Wednesday away. Because last year's trip to the steel city was such a success. -
Now that we've won I will express disappointment in the team selected, but we got away with it. And we have the likes of Caulker on the books who we may well need some day soon, so he does need game time.
-
Don't they just do the draw anyway?

We will walk this match.

Not just you.

Umm..what channel is it, I can't see it on Kodi....?

Weak. You missed a golden opportunity to berate us about the Hungerford massacre. 4.6

That should be strong enough to beat Villa.

This comment alone I see as a one way ticket on the Isle of Wight ferry for you, young man. I've spent a decade or so in marketing/brands/etc so a not dissimilar demographic to you and not seen or heard anything in the workplace, across various sites/offices/ideation hubs/think tanks. For the last year so am now based on a manufacturing site and work with various "types" of people in manufacturing/supply chain/ops (ie the opposite of Soho). Same story and I also know that if anything was heard or reported the senior management would be expected to (and indeed would) react very quickly. Simply unacceptable. But that's just sheltered old naive me.
-
You were a witness to a crime that you think would warrant a stretch in a high security prison but you did not report it or do anything to address the situation? Do tell us more about this real world you live in, the rest of us are suffering from our "sheltered upbringing" and are all "naive" and stuff.

Saints fans on this forum have shown to be not averse to imaginary line drawings of catchment areas of equal dubiousness.

Pretty sure he has said it himself.

Fabrice Fernandes?
-
Which is a euphemism for "I don't fancy him".

If I remember correctly he only came off the bench in the match right before the window closed and then was out the door. Kinda like that appearance was a little bit of shop window to get Hull to bite. FFP or not, if Koeman had wanted to keep Gaston, he would have. The delusion is rather sweet on here.

Sergei Gotsmamov - Alex Cherednik's special friend.
-
Correct. He tends to pick the players he rates, and doesn't pick the dross until forced into it by a chronic lack of viable alternatives.
-
This. Absolutely laughable this is being presented as some validation of Gaston at SFC. At the point of desperation he's found himself on the pitch. When we're back to full strength then he'll be nowhere near again and shipped out in the summer.
