After the terrific job he did at Bolton, I'd bloody hope not.

Great thread. The truth on this matter desperately needs to be told.
-
You know this thread has jumped the shark when Gaston is being compared to Marian Pahars. Dear god.
-
I've said it a few times on this thread but bears repeating - he didn't want to be leader at the start of the process and you can see he really doesn't want to be leader now. Not only is he utterly incapable of leading a team, setting a direction and bringing people with him, he has no gift or grasp for the fundamental basics of life as the leader of Her Majesty's Opposition. He spent his first weekend shuffling off to his comfort zone of singing The Red Flag in a pub, or turning up at some refugee fundraising fete. Those days are gone, Jeremy. If he gets through 18 months he's done well.

Not very good, so Les.

Looks dodgy as fu ck. Or, he's banging him.

So the news reported a gimmick. Well done Jeremy. Genius. If he'd asked six consecutive questions about, say, the housing crisis, then the news would have had to report on the housing crisis, the BBC would have had to have start pulling together packages explaining what the crisis is. The leader of the opposition driving the agenda. Instead he gave Cameron six unchallenged open goals to calmly explain Conservative policy. Well played Jeremy.

Personally I was hoping we would have no desire to win on Sunday at all now, out of respect for Luke, like.

Nigel Adkins Interview (Saints YouTube channel, Monday)
CB Fry replied to jawillwill's topic in The Saints
Correct. Everyone has moved on, and our Nigel hasn't turned out to be the greatest English manager of his generation after all, so no. I will be quite happy if he never comes back - he's had his time and it's there forever. It doesn't need another chapter. -

If they thought it was 'dodgy' they wouldn't have been promoting it on Twitter all weekend. I doubt they expected many more than 400 to watch it live. it's a flipping YouTube interview, absolutely no requirement to watch it "live" whatsoever. I'm amazed 400 peopled bothered. -
Or Koeman's relentless tapping up of Vlaar and Clasie? I'd expect Koeman's autobiography to be titled "Confessions of a Plumber" with the amount of tapping up he's done.

Any chance you could be a little more bitter?

Nice to see your leftier-than-thou posturing was a total sack of sh it after all, then.

Let's hope at least twenty minutes of it is him apologising for that Reading match. Me and some of the other guys on the ward have never forgotten it. -

You never forget that, if it makes you feel good. Never forget it. Never, ever forget it. The display against Reading. You never forget it now. Never forget. Pretty much every other true Saints fan will remember the feeling we had as we shot through two divisions returning back to the promised land far quicker than expected. Most will remember the great football we played, the unity of the team, the players who became heroes. Most remember Nigel's positivity, humility and belief. That's what I remember. That's what thousands and thousands of Saints fans will always remember. But hey, never forget Reading, eh Lardy. Define your support by that day. Never forget Reading. Never ever forget. -
He's never claimed to be a working class person from a struggling family.

Except third isn't the play offs, it's automatic promotion.

Already bottled out of Andrew Marr in the morning, an interview in the diary for months for whoever the leader was going to be. Now talk of him bottling out of Prime Ministers Questions with him turning it into some #askcameron computer game for the twitterverse. The leader of her majesty's opposition already hiding away. One day Jeremy you'll be asked to state your convictions to people who won't agree with you. That day is coming. You're the leader now. Step up.
-
I might need explaining why I see lots seeming to portray Corbyn as having a monopoly on "conviction" or values, just because he's managed to avoid actually doing anything for thirty years, except exist in the cosy world of preaching to the converted, back bench rebellion and never actually having drive through any of his actual "convictions" through the levers of government he could have worked in if he wanted to. There are plenty of conviction politicians in the House Of Commons. Many of them seize the chance to apply those convictions to changing people's lives. Others sit on their convictions. Corbyn is now the leader. He has to deal with the convictions of others for the first time in his very long and entirely political career. Let's see how he does.
-
That might be in his head now. But events will overwhelm him before he gets anywhere near that. You need to remember he joined the contest to "broaden the debate" and have a nice chat, not to win, and certainly not to become Prime Minister. What's happened since June was no masterplan that's for sure.
-
He clearly is a typical Westminster politician, a typical extreme back bench complainer, there's plenty of them on both sides of the house. And I notice a couple sneering references to "career" politicians. Well, if anyone can let me know what Jeremy Corbyn's career was or is then please do. It's pretty politician-y as far as I can see. Either way, his career will finish in about two years time.

Corks a-popping at Tory Central Office.
