  1. Last summer we signed Bertrand, Forster, Mane, Toby. All brilliant. Pelle, Tadic. Great. A winning transfer window. The summer before we signed Lovren and Wanyama, both brilliant. A winning transfer window. The summer before that Clyne, Jay Rod, Davis. A winning transfer window. The summer before that Cork and Fox, fairly quiet both both massive players in promoting us. Still winning. We could look back and think, on balance we've been brilliant at recruiting players. Brilliant. Maybe we've done it again. Or we could just go on about transfers out from 14 months ago and make out it makes any fu cking difference at all to where we are now.
  2. It's amazing how much last season's success story really stuck in the throat of some people. Well, they've got a second bite of the cherry and they are going for it. That's the only explanation that our recent poor couple of performances are being greeted on here with a barrage of grizzling about players we sold between twelve and fifteen months ago. Bless them, they are having a great time with it. Would never happen at Everton you know.
  3. That's pretty special.
  4. I, for one, am looking forward to Tadic's entry in the next edition of All The Saints.
  5. We are not going to finish higher than seventh this season. Do try to get used to it.
  6. Maybe it's about people realising the club is here to do well in the football competitions we are participating in. All I read on here is people who want us to win a transfer window. Come March, let's all see how these breathtaking megastars that Stoke (oh why can't we be Stoke) and Palace (oh why can't we be Palace) and Newcastle (oh why can't we be Newcastle) are doing. I bet Man City are absolutely bricking it. Come March I reckon we'll be nicely mid table and still in at least one of the cups. Which would be just perfect.
  7. What did you want them to say about immigration? You seem to be saying you wanted them to be more hardline which would be a typically right wing stance, so that would mean you actually wanted the last Labour government to be even more Tory. So you might as well have voted Tory yourself. The start of this thread was basically you calling people like me "Tories" for saying they didn't want Corbyn and they did want a centre-left leader to take the Conservatives on. The kind of thing that David Miliband would agree with. The kind of leader David Miliband would have been and would be. So you've changed your mind to such an extent that you have decided the person you wanted to be leader five years ago is actually a Tory and anyone who thinks like him (centre left) is also a Tory.
  8. If Jack Cork was out there for us today, we'd have won ten-nil.
  9. Except we have a brilliant season and you dismiss it as being down to luck.
  10. Except we did make progress last season and your sneering whining dismissal of it being all down to luck proves you really are an imbecile.
  11. Yeah, but, like, Everton.
  12. That's not stirring the pot further. That story made me far less concerned than the Sky thing.
  13. Being that you are just going tot up every player we sell into one long whine list we might as well just sell them all as soon as possible. Keeping Morgan for that additional season has made no difference to your moaning has it?
  14. .....while at the same time telling them that we'll let him go the following season, therefore adding him to your cry-list anyway.
  15. So when you complain about the labour administration to 2005 being "Tory-lite you might as well vote for the Tories" you don't really know who you mean or what you mean? Clear.
  16. It's not about players actually going on strike but managing the situation. Lallana was not going to stay. Ditto Lovren. It was a year ago and we did better last season anyway. When do you think you might be able to start getting over it instead of mentioning it every single day. Every single day.
  17. Do you think you could everton giverton us some goodison suggestivertons of clubs that haverton followed this policy?
  18. This is a thread about the sale of Victor Wanyama.
  19. City, United and Chelsea are facing the looming spectre of Leicester City winning the league. They're, like, top and everything.
  20. The fact that you are "afraid" we are not going to start paying wages on a par with Manchester United is what I think is particularly brilliant. Well done on saying it not once but twice within two posts.
  21. European Super League is clearly not going to happen any time soon. For example, NBC have just signed up to show the Premier League as is until 2022. Also, how would a multi-billion dollar global franchise European Super League actually prevent "money ruining sport"?
  22. The man who has so many taps to his name they call him Ronald "The Plumber" Koeman would be in a world of pain if they started clamping down on it.
  23. We don't "have to sell" for running costs. Which bit of Victor Wanyama saying he wants to leave have you not understood?
