You seem to be "having difficulty grasping" how Swansea qualified for Europe.
-
Who are the "certain posters" then?
-
I meant who else does it.
-
Agree. Middlesbrough and Fulham both got to Europa finals. Who wouldn't want that for Saints? Swansea and Everton have clearly grown with their European experiences as you say. I think some can't quite reconcile themselves with the fact that we aren't on our way to the champions league and more than likely never, ever will be. So let's enjoy what we do achieve, because it's brilliant.

Who does it?
-
Indeed. True Saints fans with "soul", like our club historian, seem to disagree with you though. Strange.
-
"Might slightly help" he says. Not sure that makes you "more ambitious" than other fans. Liverpool remain a far better bet for the CL than us whatever happens for the rest of the season. Surely a European adventure to enjoy the adventure is ambition enough anyway. Certainly more ambitious than wanting to see players at another club not quite succeed as much as they could just for 10 seconds of gloating.

You were never both logins at the same time anyway, right? The Brett from Camden stuff was funny though.
-
Be interesting to see an example of this. Most of the multiple logins here seem to be comedy characters like Aziz.

I never said that dickhead.

Nah, in fairness to Wes he does have a point. Mainly driven by places like Wales/North East (Labour) with small/falling population density versus the South East (Tory) with the opposite. The proposals - Fewer MPs allowing for more even constituencies - would be fine and fairer. But I'd like to see PR at the same time. The point is that Cameron may rue the day he didn't get the boundary changes through when Lords reform fell over a couple of years ago.

So if you get to write the history of Saints between 2014-16 you would rather devote eight or nine pages to the fact that Liverpool didn't win the FA Cup in 2015*, or would you rather write a chapter on our European campaign of 2015-16? Or is the next Hagiology title going to be "Who The F# ck Is Laughing Now - A Southampton FC History Of Moments We Got To See Ex-Players Fail At Their New Clubs and Stuff"? 304 pages of pure soul.

That's beautiful. They still haven't hit rock bottom.

How on earth anyone is torn on something like is baffling the hell out of me. European football would be something to look forward to all summer, a genuine achievement and a step forward for the club. And you're "torn" about preferring to have a two minute chortle at the manager and players of another club who have nothing to do with us? I'd happily see Liverpool win the cup 10 - nil if it got us what we want.

Highly likely a coalition either way could include another bill to change the voting system. I guess it was always going to take a perceived injustice to the Conservatives/the right to start the swing of mainstream opinion to a more proportional system. When it was the Lib Dems suffering it election after election few gave a monkeys. 23% share in 2010 their share went up and they still lost seats ending up with 57 seats, less than 9%.
-
They are. Making all of them equal is statistically all nice and neat but not really practical. Isle of Wight is a good example. You'd end up with one constituency of, say 7-80% of the island with the rest lumped in with Portsmouth or Southampton or something. Which bit do you pick to remove from the island and why. At the end of the day they do need to have a degree of geographical logic. Most of them are within 10k tolerance of each other with a few outliers.

Brilliant.
-
Seriously?
-
You're taking your usual routine to unbelievable new heights on this one.
-
Agree with this. Had stern words at the TV on Thursday to that end.
-
I liked the bit where she said "unless we take the emotion out of this....." Wise words.
-
Nicely balanced and clearly very well thought through.
-
They've done the leaders Question Time thing pretty much every election since at least the Blair era, so hardly counts as anything particularly new or different. The "opposition" debate was utterly pointless, of course.

Seems an odd thing to get annoyed about. And this is me saying that.
