  1. Apologies for not accepting two words as a paragraph. Good luck in your application for a role at the Portsmouth News.
  2. And? Don't really get your point. All that tells me is they are more circumspect when managing their public pronouncements than their co-host. It certainly doesn't say they are both quitting to go to Sky.
  3. Just looked at their Twitter feeds. Not entirely sure what conclusion you're drawing from what either of them have said. Just a bit of Top Gear joshing.
  4. It's a factor. Sky can chuck a huge contract at JC and maybe the other two but not necessarily the production team, and almost certainly not the scale and ambition of production values that the BBC bring to it. And not just the viewers and cache of being on genuinely one of Britain's biggest TV shows and part of a bona fide global TV brand. Plus May and Hammond get more from the BBC than just Top Gear, as they've both benefited from high profile, nicely made TV series on topics that interest them. You think they're going to walk out on all of that to do a half pint rip off to a niche audience because their colleague punched a co worker? Sorry, not so sure.
  5. Seven points with 10 to go is loads of points in my book. We'd have to completely collapse for Stoke to overtake us. Nah. I think 7th is pretty much nailed on. It's not arrogance or presumption - we've earned it. People thinking we won't make seventh are just pessimists over compensating. We've been top four most of the season FFS. To drop to eighth from here we'd have to earn something meagre like 7, 8, 9 points for the remaining 10 games - Leicester City type form. Why on earth has happened this season that makes people think this is remotely likely?
  6. He doesn't own it anymore - he did a deal with the BBC and BBC worldwide last year. We'll see how it plays out. I'm not sure May and Hammond would just walk out on TC if they had the chance to take it on. Top Gear currently 5 million viewers. A Sky version would pull in about a fifth of that at best, probably less.
  7. That probably would happen but it would be a Clarkson show, not Top Gear and it wouldn't achieve anywhere near the scale of the current brand. Just a classic case of post-BBC rubbishness. I doubt Hammond and May would walk out on one of TVs biggest brands. JC is replaceable and they would replace him.
  8. I appreciate the lesson in IT. I've been tweaking Richard E Grant's name on here ever since you first introduced him to us. Surprised you haven't hosterised and filed all of my posts on your floppy disks.
  9. A seven point swing in 10 games will come about more from a pretty significant collapse on our part more than anything Stoke do. Even if we hobble to just a point a game from now, Stoke need a pretty decent upturn in form to beat us. Seventh is pretty much ours to be honest.
  10. You do, however, swoon over Reginald D Hall and his website. He's a man, loon fans, that thinks 7/7 was fake and is trying to sue the Prime Minister for libel for saying it wasn't. And we all know you coo over the "great resource" of a website where incredibly well balanced people post up YouTube clips of crying 9/11 firemen and rip the pi ss out of them for their terrible acting. A truly, truly great resource. And you've accused people on here including me of being paid by the government to discredit you on this forum. Seriously, you do such an astonishing job by yourself, why would anyone need to.
  11. Just LOL that you have that as a saved image. You are unquestionably mentally ill. Anyway. Amusing that you accuse me of talking "absolute sh it" when I play back what you say yourself. You went to "find the answers" and at the end of that search you brilliantly managed to establish that the Lee Rigby murder was not all made up by the government. That's not "complete bol locks" sweetheart, that's your words.
  12. The clue for me was his need to "search for the truth" to establish that the attack on Lee Rigby wasn't a government set up and the people weren't actually actors. The world's non-autistics managed to work that out within a nanosecond.
  13. Not any more, as of this season.
  14. It's the cup winners that count for Europa qualification, not the finalists. As long as Arse/Liverpool win it, 7th gets a spot.
  15. I wonder, by any small chance, that Saint Lard might suddenly feel the need to contribute to this thread.
  16. Dear god. 7th is top of the League excluding the current biggest and richest teams in the country, more than half of them (actually, 6 of them) are some of the biggest and richest clubs in the world. If finishing 7th us mediocre then you're supporting the wrong team sunshine.
  17. I'm thinking of organising a "March for the Forgotten Heroes" through the city centre. Jonathan Forte is owed an apology and an explanation. Who's with me?
  18. I don't remember the hand-wringing "this is shameful" disgust when Saints fans got on the pitch live on BBC1 after the Coventry promotion game.
  19. I'd like to see them try to get a points deduction dished out for an incident at a FA Cup match.
  20. LOL. "Ashamed". FFS. I will never understand the "we'll never know if he was good enough for the Premier League" stuff. We do know. He wasn't. A fundamental part of being "good enough" is being selected to play in matches at that level. He wasn't, because he wasn't. Before you get to test yourself against Premier League defenders you need to show a Premier League manager that you are good enough to hold down a place in a Premier League team. Billy had three Premier League managers to directly influence and failed three times, and let's also include all the other Premier League managers when given the opportunity to take him off us, declined that opportunity. Because he wasn't good enough. So don't say we'll never know. We do do know he wasn't good enough.
  21. I just had to hang on in there.
  22. Wot are U talkin abowt?
  23. Thursday November 19th 2015.
  24. No idea why you are asking me that question.
  25. Sturgeon is the First Minister of Scotland, and will remain that. As senior SNP MP of a rump of maybe forty-fifty MPs in Westminster, Salmond will be in a great position to become Deputy PM (should the rest of the election fall in his favour). There won't be a Deputy PM not from the Houses of Westminster, and really, no point. Better to have both of them in positions of power either side of Hadrians Wall. I'd rather not see his pie face anywhere near Downing Street but brace yourself. It might happen.
