I think we measure it on the time it takes someone on here to have a paddy and start grizzling how they want all English clubs except Saints to lose every single European match they play. Has anyone done that yet?

Actually, they didn't. They got to a qualification play off and lost, resulting in them not qualifying for the Champions League. Since then, about a decade ago they haven't finished in the top four. Could we finish in the top four, once? Well, yes. Does that actually make us a "top 4/Champions League" team? No. Just like Everton. Our set up can probably keep up nicely top half for as long as we can keep it up, but we are unlikely to truly become a top 4 regular. It's a lovely aspiration for the club to have but worth remembering the countless times Les Reed has said we won't be over spending to get there.

What era have you "grown up in" and how is it going to stop players leaving for bigger clubs when they roll up with big money? Feel free to blather on about Kevin Keegan or something but it doesn't change reality. Fair play there is some proper, proper garbage on this thread. Morgan has earned his shot at a big move and I will be interested to see how he does. As long as it is handled properly by all parties (I think it will be) then he'll have my best wishes and thanks.

So he takes over in September and is expected to deliver the league title or be deemed a failure. No, that not unreasonable at all. Of course not. Pathetic. His job was to get us up without question, he would have failed if we hadn't done that, but he did it. That doesn't mean it was easy and certainly doesn't mean that not winning the title was a failure. Your apparent glee at snide little digs at one of our most successful managers who played a massive role in where we are now, speaks volumes about you. He is a excellent manager at L1, proven at Championship level, and yet to be proven at Premier League level. But his role in our history rises above all that because he delivered back to back promotions and a Premier League-ready team, and negates any need to be a sneering little pri ck about him. But you and Lardy carry on. It makes you look awfully clever.

I had a watch of the USA v South Korea pre-World Cup friendly over the weekend. It took a while for me to get into it but after about twenty minutes I did manage to crack one out.
