Touche indeed.

If Chelsea win today, 6th will mean Europe. If Saints finishing 6th is frustrating for you then you might need a little bit of perspective. Over the next twenty years we are unlikely to do much better (much like we haven't in the previous twenty). We're not going to be the next Manchester City. You do get that, right?
-
I think you have to deal with the fact the manager played strong teams in the cups and wanted to win those cups. Hes the boss and he was right. Deal with that. We played in every single available cup tie (including an FA Cup replay) to the middle of January and still got to third. Our collapse has coincided with not playing anywhere near the maximum amount of games with no FA Cup 4th round replay, no 5th round/replay, no LC Semi or final. Fewer games, worse results. Deal with that. We had two wonderful weeks off of rest and still got dic ked at home by Liverpool who had played two matches in the intervening time. Deal with that. As long as Ronald is manager next season well be having a go in the comps we're in, hopefully the Europa League. Boo hoo hoo lots of horrid football matches to play. Deal with that.

I knew what that guy was getting at back then.
-
I am getting used to us finishing 6th now for no other reason but to prove this idiot from August wrong.
-
Hmm. Not really. Clyne is more than likely gone. So you either want woe is me/we're all doomed defeatism (over a right back) or a level of expectation that we can sign another right back of a decent standard. After all, we signed a N. Clyne from Palace only a couple of years ago for only two million quid.
-
Not sure I'm seeing anyone saying that to be honest, let alone the majority. Clyne, if he is wanted by one or two of the big boys, is highly likely to go. We then need to regroup and build again. Can we find another right back to keep us competitive in the top half of the Premier League? Don't see why not. It's not "that easy", but it is also not beyond us. Nothings guaranteed of course. To that end also possible that someone spends 20 million on Nathaniel and he can't cope and he goes to dogs hit. What will be will be.
-
Should have a stand named after him IMO.
-
You've not bothered to pay attention to anything Ralph, Les or Ronald have said on this matter? Worth a read, and then worth getting over it.
-
Didn't realise ge was that old. Definitely a non starter then.
-
Why would a very well regarded young player move from Everton to us? Highly unlikely. If he's for sale, it won't be to us.
-
It's a good headline but not really what he said (lazy scumbag etc)
-
He said none of his strikers are going to score 20 this season, which is slightly different. And when I say slightly, I mean completely different.
-
Definitely the best way to win an argument when presented with facts and statistics around US gun ownership and homicide rate and deaths per thousand etc at the hands of these weapons is to a) brazenly make up meaningless stats in response ("really good" and guaranteed to to work 99.9% of the time) b) Post up links of reports about British police stopping someone from commiting a crime with a knife. Just so relevant and bang on the money. Yep. Well done. You have smashed this. Hands down.
-
So, to summarise, waaah waaah waaah waaah waaah.
-
They showed it on C4 news. It is unbelievably (to me) Blue and Black. Darker than an Inter Milan kit. Really blue, really black. All the images on this thread I see as White/Gold. Just nuts.
-
This happened in our office too, clearly isn't colour blindness. I'm in the white/gold camp. Annoyingly so is my missus and my eldest daughter which rather killed the phenomenon in my house.
-
Still dim, then.

"what, you play for a team called who? Banchester United? And you're on how much money? I had no idea, I have never left the Hampshire area or spoken to another player until I got called up for England. This has truly opened my eyes and no mistake." Much like many of the things you've "been saying for years", it's nonsense.
-
They've joined clubs with big squads which us what lots of people on this forum want us to be. Presumably not you though because you wouldn't want us to have bit part players, right?
-
The full Waddle. Brilliant.
-
Always fascinating the "He'll only be a bit part player" line is always used as the case against when one of ours might go to a bigger club. I just hope the people that say it are not the same people who demand that we sign lots more players to have a stronger squad ourselves - because that would mean us having more bit part players too, and that would be awful, right?
-
Never mind. Good luck for the rest of the season though, mate. You've got a good manager in Pardew.
-
Nor had I. Doesn't make them unknowns.

I love a mournful "oh if only we could speculate to accumulate" post.
