  1. It's the cup winners that count for Europa qualification, not the finalists. As long as Arse/Liverpool win it, 7th gets a spot.
  2. I wonder, by any small chance, that Saint Lard might suddenly feel the need to contribute to this thread.
  3. Dear god. 7th is top of the League excluding the current biggest and richest teams in the country, more than half of them (actually, 6 of them) are some of the biggest and richest clubs in the world. If finishing 7th us mediocre then you're supporting the wrong team sunshine.
  4. I'm thinking of organising a "March for the Forgotten Heroes" through the city centre. Jonathan Forte is owed an apology and an explanation. Who's with me?
  5. I don't remember the hand-wringing "this is shameful" disgust when Saints fans got on the pitch live on BBC1 after the Coventry promotion game.
  6. I'd like to see them try to get a points deduction dished out for an incident at a FA Cup match.
  7. LOL. "Ashamed". FFS. I will never understand the "we'll never know if he was good enough for the Premier League" stuff. We do know. He wasn't. A fundamental part of being "good enough" is being selected to play in matches at that level. He wasn't, because he wasn't. Before you get to test yourself against Premier League defenders you need to show a Premier League manager that you are good enough to hold down a place in a Premier League team. Billy had three Premier League managers to directly influence and failed three times, and let's also include all the other Premier League managers when given the opportunity to take him off us, declined that opportunity. Because he wasn't good enough. So don't say we'll never know. We do do know he wasn't good enough.
  8. I just had to hang on in there.
  9. Wot are U talkin abowt?
  10. Thursday November 19th 2015.
  11. No idea why you are asking me that question.
  12. Sturgeon is the First Minister of Scotland, and will remain that. As senior SNP MP of a rump of maybe forty-fifty MPs in Westminster, Salmond will be in a great position to become Deputy PM (should the rest of the election fall in his favour). There won't be a Deputy PM not from the Houses of Westminster, and really, no point. Better to have both of them in positions of power either side of Hadrians Wall. I'd rather not see his pie face anywhere near Downing Street but brace yourself. It might happen.
  13. He's got more chance than Nicola Sturgeon, squire.
  14. Well, no. I mean Alex Salmond, who will be a MP after the election.
  15. Betrand and Toby didn't move to us because it was a "step up" though, which is the phrase you are arguing about. Us being in the Champions League is not going to make any Spurs player see us as a step up, because it won't be.
  16. I pray Koeman never goes to Chelski.
  17. Salmond won't care. If the SNP get anything approaching 4-50 seats he'd be our Deputy Prime Minister. Vomit inducing for lots of us but a genuine triumph for him.
  18. With, say, 40 seats, they'd have to, if Labour have enough of course. Otherwise, why on earth are they standing for Westminster? If they hold the balance of power and refuse to form an functioning administration forcing another election they'd look like prize pri cks, with no reason for people to vote for them again. You're right though, being in coalition could damage them in the long run as they won't be able to just stand and point any more. It did for the LDs and could do for the SNP too.
  19. I don't know, we've got a fair few deluded fans....
  20. Breaking News: Kane in Pochettino Showdown talks. His agent said "As soon as Harry heard about Saints CL qualification playoff against AEK Athens he knew where his future lay. He's desperate to make that step up into football's top table, and that's Southampton and no mistake".
  21. Quite sure of it. 100% certain, thanks.
  22. And knives. Don't forget knives. Knives are, like, way more worser than guns. Like, well bad.
  23. No current Spurs players would be angling to move a "step up" and sign for us, that's for sure. One season of CL qualification once does not turn us into some mega club.
  24. The delusion that Spurs aren't a step up from us will never die.
  25. Egg like a bird's egg.
