  1. Was nice to hear Ralph read out the manifesto yesterday. I think I missed the bit where he said "We are the Saints. And by jiggerdy we will be spaffing thirty million on one player in January and no mistake."
  2. Would be fascinated to see who "all those fans who can find negatives in today's videos" are exactly, and what they've said. Do you think you could point me in the direction of maybe just one of "all those fans", so I could get as upset as you are?
  3. Quote me where I have said anything remotely approaching that.
  4. Except, of course, it isn't your opinion at all. But it is hilariously funny every time you post it up, so please keep doing it. Oh my aching sides.
  5. Why would I (and I think I can speak for Hypo here too) disagree with what you say here? I think you completely misunderstood the point made. I agree with you, ML is/was the best owner of any club full stop. And his daughter has taken it on. Just watched the Kat/Ralph video. Brilliant. You can see Ralph cutting a more confident pose these days.
  6. I have no doubt all that happened, as it no doubt happened at the many other clubs in similar situations which also didn't go out of business forever. We would not have ceased to exist without Markus, we were in administration for a handful of weeks whereby we were then bought by a bloody billionaire, one with no link or affinity to the club prior to purchase. Hardly an unsavable basket case of liquidation, now was it? But ridiculous to bicker about that on this thread, so I will stop now.
  7. Hypo is correct, there is absolutely no way we would have gone out if existence, just a myth. However I am happy saying Markus saved us. He did save us. Saving something or someone does not always mean "from death". Markus saved us from despair, from misery, from Mark Wotte and Lee Molyneux. He saved us all right.
  8. So the letters W/L/D against a list of games on a prediction thread was not a prediction? Okay then.
  9. It's a list of games on a prediction thread with W/L/D next to each game. The "quoted out of context" defence not really going to stand up. And you are right - that is not the level required for 5th/6th. It's more like a collapse, or to use NickG's own terms "fading away".
  10. You don't go in for predictions? I've got confused? And it isn't true? Okay then. Have a look on the November/December predictions thread. "This is the level of results needed for 5th/6th" no it isn't, it's relegation form and we'd be down to about eighth on that run. And you forecast us losing all of our games against the big boys. Yeah. Look at me all wrong and missing the target. (For some reason on Tapatalk every time I quote your Nov/Dec prediction list it dumps it back on the original thread, so apologies for duplicate post. But at least it bumps the other thread so you can read those predictions you "didn't make" in situ) You're welcome.

  12. Presumably he wanted to retire at Liverpool in 18 months time. Now looking like he might not get the chance. I can see him on loan somewhere but not to us: he's gone home so would think he'd stay North-West so Wigan, Bolton or Blackburn, something like that. Or maybe Stoke, if the opportunity came up.
  13. Indeed. Would be truly amazing if they came up. And the Championship is such a brilliant division - how many teams have been top already? I think about four could have finished on top after tonight's games alone. Great stuff.
  14. I had a moment too. Lovely stuff.
  15. How is he bankrupt?!
  16. Saying we should blow thirty mil on one player is not "dreaming for the stars".
  17. In fairness the OP said we should sign a World Cup striker for £30m. What you are saying is not in that spirit at all and more like something we would conceivably di. Letting Cork go and bringing in Claisie for £10m odd is a possibility. Maybe another striker but depends if JR is fit and minded to stay. Smashing records for fees - twenty/thirty mil is not a possibility.
  18. I had that feeling ahead of Hull but after that performance - defensively rock solid - now, like you I honestly can't see us dropping points at the moment. It's not arrogance anymore to say we should get 6 points from our next two games. There just isn't any reason it wouldn't happen, injuries permitting. At the moment we have transcended all the usual "typical Saints" nonsense we all were all grudgingly comfortable with. On Saturday we are much better than LCFC and we will win.
  19. The OP has already explained this on this thread. When he says "go for broke" he didn't really mean "go" for "broke". He meant something else. About spending more money on £30m players or something. And gambling. Which to me, still looked like go for broke.
  20. Final wasn't it? And Fulham under Hodgson. And Middlesborough under McClaren. Sounds like a realistic aim to me. Win the Europa League would be an amazing achievement.
  21. You do realise on this forum the other day you predicted us to lose all our forthcoming games against the big boys (including Everton) and for us to only achieve 9 points from the next 10 games (this was last week so included Hull) which in itself is relegation form but in our case would get to a points per game rate after 20-odd games that would land us at about 8th across a full season. So one of the forums predicting us "fading away" is this one. And one of the people predicting it is, well, you.
  22. ...
  23. Forget it.
