  1. Glad I stuck with that until the last seconds. Nice one Butch Wilkins!
  2. ITV is basically all the pundits from previous BBC tournaments. They're okay and they've been much worse as anyone who can remember Matthew Lorenzo will testify.
  3. Apparently very hot on crosses.
  4. I would have picked Sterling.
  5. Wonderful outrage on here before kick off that England legend Adam Lallana dropped for Sterling. Funnily enough no one outside of the Saints Web bubble picked up on this earthquake of injustice. Why was that?
  6. We're going to lose, but harsh to describe it as same old same old. I think we have shown better attacking intent than previously but we have lots of players who are pretty average. One of which, Adam Lallana, has just come on.
  7. Loser-goes-home on Thursday at the moment.
  8. Huh?
  9. Costa Rica sash anyone?
  10. It has not been airbrushed from history. Bleedin' wet blankets on here.
  11. Not really. Not like Lallana is some established England stalwart. Playing either of them carries risk, and frankly Lallana has been a bit of a bellend recently so can't say I'm bothered. I'd rather see Lambert come on and do well to be honest.
  12. A pretty shameful "Bury bad news" tactic from WBA. Already they've put themselves under massive pressure.
  13. What "amazing" manager were you expecting?
  14. Adkins managed his departure from Scunny better than MP managed his departure from Saints. Lambert managed his departure from Saints better than MP did. It's how it is done, not the fact that it is done. Nice try at slating Nigel but utterly unfounded.
  15. You're going to have to get used to it. Lambert is a Liverpool player, it's a fact. Expecting a lecture about Saints every time his name is mentioned is just silly. The positive stories about our style of play and our players had nothing to do with Cortese's media chums - the high point was when Shaw was called up which was post-Cortese. Those stories didn't suddenly stop when Cortese left. The Italian just looked after his acolytes purring about his Champions League pie-in-the-sky.
  16. That's not evidence of Liverpool FC "doing their transfer business in public" just evidence of the media being interested in who Liverpool want to sign. What with them being, like, Liverpool Football Club and everything. Meanwhile, in the last six weeks or so our Chairman and our head of football have made several very public statements about the status of potential transfers. Kinda "doing" our "transfer business" in "public" just as much as anyone else. And, our transfers of pretty much every player we have signed recently, from Jay Rod and Gaston to Osvaldo and Mayuka has been covered in the press before they happened. The only difference is the media just aren't as interested.
  17. There is no evidence of Liverpool conducting their transfer business through the press any more than we do.
  18. I know for a fact right now that he will definitely be better than any other manager that we have ever had.
  19. What a load of nonsense, especially at the end of a season when the positive media love - in over us was beginning to make me feel slightly ill. There is no anti - Saints agenda in the media, just paranoid lunatics on football forums.
  20. You're talking about Pochettino here, right?
  21. Apparently we were gutted to miss out on Joe Cole and we are going all out to land Bobby Zamora, Chris Samba and Nikola Anelka. Or, maybe, just maybe, our transfer policy hasn't changed a jot. Why would it?
  22. So you're saying we shouldn't whittle down the list at all, and appoint five managers? Seriously, keep it coming. Solid gold.
  23. Don't bother. He has no understanding of the phrase. It's kinda sweet and sad at the same time.
  24. The usual swivel - eyed drivel, only with the added bonus of showing you are too dumb to understand the meaning of the phrase "whittle it down from". Keep it up.
  25. Brendan Rodgers gets a new job paid about five million quid a year. Roy gets paid off and probably retires having at least achieved being England manager at a WC. Liverpool hire a huge name to replave Rodgers, still signing Lallana. Who is getting served "sweet justice" in this scenario?
