The fact you seem to know all the news suggests an answer to your observation.

Half of that time in League One.

Who is the "quality player" we were "replacing" with the loan of Taider? Apart from that one loan to replace Shaw. Doesn't seem unreasonable to me, and "familiar with English football", which seems jolly important to you. And as for players "wholly unfamiliar with English football" I assume you don't mean Long or Forster, but do mean Pelle, Gardos and Tadic. So three. Kinda like the three we signed last summer? Or the more than three the summer before? Yes?
-
Except it was LVG who started the whole story by talking about Shaw's fitness weeks ago and making him train on his own. And Hodgson said nothing about MUFC's training program or Shaw at MUFC.
-
Have you read what Hodgson said? How is that "crucifying" him?
-
Clearly we haven't.
-
Not enough for anyone on this forum to recommend we sign him. And at 26 let's not assume he has boat loads of potential.

A goal every four games at second/third tier level. Patchy career achieving nothing of note. 26 years old, older than Lallana. Eight million quid. There are no players that fit that description or anything close to that have been touted/recommnded on here. The closest could be Rhodes but his goal record pi ss es all over McGoldrick and is younger.

For a 1 hour 20 minute trip? I reckon some of the players might own an iPad. They're not flying to Australia on Ryan Air, or stood on the roof on the Delhi express.
-
Because a train is quicker and a nicer trip than sitting on the sodding M3 forever.

The next player we sign will be a player who knows their own mind, they will be a very social animal but also likes their own space. Family will be important for the next player we sign. This October will be a lucky month for our next signing and now might be the time for them to make that big decision. With the moon rising in Capricorn I think it is the time to start a new chapter and not put off to tomorrow what you can do today.

Peter Shilton, not once, not three times, but twice.

Was in the Evening Standard yesterday too. True story.

We've taken a picture of the train and framed it as a gift for the West Ham boardroom.

For the good of football, the plundering of players should be stopped

I like the way you have an ironic username. -
A post that did make me genuinely laugh out loud.
-
Or, it's just a bit of fun.

The "majority" nationally, globally want to see/support the big football clubs in the biggest competitions. That majority couldn't give two sh its if Nottingham Forest can't be in the European Cup anymore. I am sure you'll come back with "people you know all say they hate it" but I bet they all watched the CL final. So when you say majority you mean supporters of clubs like Saints. What a surprise. -

Tell you what, the Scottish League have got it spot on right now. The League championship is a total foregone conclusion, leaving Scottish football fans to strap in for the roller coaster thrill ride of the battle to finish third. -

So, a league where pretty much only two teams can ever win the league (with occasional Atleticos) is more competitive than one where five can? Riiiight. You put up a great post which cuts to the heart of the bulls h it hypocrisy in this debate. Plenty of grizzling about how jolly terrible money is and how the game is ruined by horrible money. But typically, as above, this is expressed by belly aching about how we can't access the champions league, which happens to the most lucrative international club competition in world sport. Get the feeling most wouldn't be complaining if we were in the Champions League and had access to that filthy money ruining the game. -
I've emailed that guy. Apparently he's a Nigerian Prince. Does anyone know how to set up a Western Union account?

It will be an outrage if we don't spend eight million quid on a new right back this window. In other news, it's an effing disgrace Nathaniel Clyne is overlooked for England AGAIN.
