Arf. Won't match up to the revolution that started yesterday, obviously.

Up there with Tianamen Square in terms of epoch defining significance. Well done them.
-
Care to run through all the other stadium location "options" we had at the time?
-
What you've described sounds absolutely nothing like what I was talking about. But well done on getting chippy anyway. Have a pleasant evening.

A death party for someone last in power twenty three years and a mere FIVE general elections ago is not a "political viewpoint". Just vile behaviour by utter scum.
-
Apple, presumably. Slightly over egging the "world's largest" tag, though.
-
At least you gave the Sports department a ruddy good laugh when your little complaint came through. What an absolute joke.
-
This is spot on. Once MP has actually built a team, then we'll know whether this has been a success or not. This time next year would be a good time to review.
-
Thankfully being bankrolled by the slush fund of a dead Swiss bloke is far more noble and sustainable than terrible old Bolton. At least Bolton had Sam for eight odd years who took them from mid-tier two to seventh and four seasons of top eight when he left. Sustained, repeated success however you look at it. You seem to think its easy just to keep going and going and going in the Premier League top half season after season. Well we'll see how easy it is soon, won't we? Anyway, be interesting to see Kevin Nolan for the Hammers tomorrow. He's a product of the Bolton Academy which obviously never existed.
-
Four seasons top eight. Four seasons. After a good few seasons building the club up to that. Sam actually took Bolton up in the first place. Sounds pretty long term to me mate. Maybe what happened after was down to mot having Sam in charge? Just remind me what your expectation for Saints is then? If four seasons in a row in the top eight is just a flash in the pan, what does success look like for you exactly? I'm not on a high horse. You're the one belittling four seasons top eight as "short term". Fu cking love to see the reaction on here if we do that.
-
How valiant of you to praise Big Sam for "keeping Bolton up". Yes, he did just about manage to "keep them up". Just. Eighth. Sixth. Eighth. Seventh. One season equal on points with the team in fifth, who happened to be European Champions Liverpool. But yeah, to you that is clearly "not progressing". Love to see the response on here if Poch delivers just one season to that level. I bet no one calls that "not progressing" or describes it as merely keeping us up. What a joke.
-
If Poch only acheives what Sam has already achieved at BWFC and BRFC I guarantee he won't be described as "half decent" on here.
-
Gaston is on 60k (general accepted view). I'd like to think AL as captain has been offered at least the same. And I think he has been.
-
My first game at The Dell. Fact. A proud Junior Saint I was too.
-
Pardew would have got us out of L1 that season with no problem at all. Might not have done the double promo - that was special - but we'd be long gone of the third tier.

Is extending the ground at the end of next season actually true?
CB Fry replied to Roger's topic in The Saints
The "build it now" boys hate this point. A proportion of fans at a, say, Fulham home game are there because it gets them up the queue for the big games. If you didn't need a ST to guarantee getting in for Man United, some fans wouldn't get one. -
Frankly, this is not MP's team. This time next year. Then we'll know. Nailed on top six, I guess.

....and merely a decade at least before we pay off the cost. And that's if you accept eight games a season where we sell 10,000 more seats than now. Home to Arsenal on a Saturday in August? 42,000? Home to Man City on a Monday night in November? 42,000? Home to Liverpool on a Saturday lunchtime? 42,000? Home to Spurs on a post Europa Sunday? 42,000? Another 3 42,000 games a season not involving the current top five? All for no finacial gain in a decade? Can't wait. -

Have a look at Villa. Not long ago they finished sixth three seasons in a row. That third season they got to a Wembley semi and a Wembley final. And European football of course. Pretty sweet, eh? Guess what? The second and third of those three seasons their average attendance went down. And down. Year three was lowest of the three. Funny that. Casual fans get bored. Novelty wears off. A home match against Fulham in November is dull whether we're twentieth or fifth. -

You can tell Wes is struggling when he wheels out his favourite "penetrate your cranium" line. Floundering like a Koi Carp on a patio table. -
Is this going to be your new comedy-troll "thing"? Pretending you think we need 43 points to stay up. Oh, our aching sides, this is nearly as rib tickling as "we'll finish 17th" , "yo-yo strategy" and your other smash-hit feeble routines. Roll on next season for the next one. We can hardly wait.
-
They are far closer to us than we are to Swansea so your line doesn't make sense. Glad to have been of service.
-
You've excluded Newcastle. Suppose they are an entire whole point behind us.
-
Stoke have a rich local owner who genuinely wants the best for the club. And they've stuck with a manager and a foemula that gas worked for them. And they have a healthy regard for their history and are a genuine community club in their toilet of a community. But their football is sh ite and they spend too much on mediocre has beens. Fu ck 'em.

Nailed on WHU win then.
