  1. Difficult to control, dem conspiracies, aint they? Computer weekly clearly not at the "listen chaps, let's all, like, cover it up" meeting. Presumably the editor of Computer Weekly will be found dead in a field in a few weeks time. Or a staged heart attack/fall over in Scottish highlands fake death scenario. The delightfully silly C4 comedy Toast of London did a nice bit on films funded by Egyptians with a grudge against the Duke of Edinburgh only last week. I'd class that show as one of many British comedies that I personally think is better than the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
  2. Anyway, it's great that the press have exposed it and not conspired with governmemt to cover it all up, which is what some nutcases think happens all the time. Well done The New Statesman (I am attempting to delete all references to me getting the name of the news source wrong).
  3. Watercress would be the greens of choice, I'd suggest. Keep it local.

    Squad Size

Ah, yes. The old spread bet of having no real opinion while at the same time desperate to say "I told you so". Exceptional stuff, Nick.

    Squad Size

The phrase was "current squad [April 2013] realistic aim 6th - 8th" was it not? Why on earth is he so determined to keep digging up his own idiocy?
  6. Personally I'd like to see J-Rod starting alongside Rooney. I want to see him in something resembling a 'real' England team.
  7. What a preposterous man he is. Suddenly Michael Owen, David Beckham and Paul Scholes represent "mercurial" talent that other England managers wouldn't have picked? Yeah, of course. Well, at least Hoddle makes himself easy to despise. It really takes very little effort to hate the man.
  8. The media have been desperate for us to fail and now they have their story. The backlash begins today. They hate us. They hate us. They hate us.
  9. No one on that thread on that link says "they are much smaller than us". One person, one person, says they think their club is bigger than Saints. And that person is jealous of us. And no one on that thread dishes out a bitter abuse fuelled rant against us like you have just done against them. Lord only knows what your reaction would be if they did. Some Saints fans have a weird obsession about WHU, like we have 'history' with them or something. From what I can see WHU don't give a sh ite about us. If anything they admire us right now. Maybe that makes them bigger after all.
  10. If Cortese wanted to do it then obviously it would be a brilliant thing to do and only contribute to our success on the pitch. Indeed, many on here are convinced that having a plain red kit is a genuine contributory factor in our current on-field success. The word Saints is very important to Oriental people as well so can only build on our massive presence there and stuff.
  11. My favourite bit was when Armstrong said the Saints way of playing could be compared to Jack Charlton's Middlesbrough team of the 1970s. Brilliant.
  12. I remember a bit of that but comparing getting promotion from the NPC when we were runaway leaders from the get-go is not the same as winning the Premier League where we have been 6th - 3rd all season. People saying we won't win the league are not pessimists.

    Sir Les

    99.5% IMO.
  14. I will, but it gets tiresome when people put mathmatical store in something that simply won't happen. We won't get relegated this season. Feel free to chastise me for my assured, concrete opinion. In fact I encourage it. Fill your boots. I won't care because I'm right. We are safe safe safe safe safe safe.
  15. Try telling that to the nutcases that think we could still get relegated this season.
  16. I mentioned this ridiculous sentiment the other day and was accused of making stuff up. Well here it is again. We can win the FA Cup this season, but if we do it clearly will not then result in our relegation. I take it you have seen us play this season?
  17. We're now massive in all Oriental nations because of our kit being all red and that.
  18. Should be going all out to get Bridgey back IMO.
  19. Alpine's greatest hits in the Cortese era: We've bottled promotion to the Championship (we didn't) We've bottled promotion to the Premier League (we didn't) You're all being complacent, I can see us being overtaken by Wigan/we're going down (we didn't). But anyway, that negative old media, eh?
  20. It's fair to say absolutely none of this success would have happened if we were still wearing a striped kit. Great point.
  21. What seasons did he "damn near relegate" Wigan and Sunderland then? He saved Wigan following a disasterous start to the season under Hutchings I think. And he took Sunderland to solid mid table and was sacked probably prematurely and it's not like they have done any better since. And needless to say got the Sunderland job because of his good record at Wigan also known as not "damn near" relegating them.
  22. Utterly moronic statement. Solid mid table performances with not one, not two but three Premier League sides. And on track for a fourth. Pray tell, which club has he been a "disaster" at?
  23. Morgan gives a lot of credit to Pardew for his development too.
  24. This and this. There's a real beauty to the way the team has been built organically. I said in September that we'd had the perfect transfer window: three key players, better than what we had, straight down the spine of the team. Add to that the smooth introduction of our own youth, and the core of the side remaining together over the last five seasons. Almost a masterclass in building a Premier League squad. We are a phenomenon at the moment, let's hope we can keep going this season and beyond.
  25. We've earned the right to lose them both but I think we probably won't.
